But who has she dated on the cobbles? Why did she leave Weatherfield back in 2018? And who is her new hubby? Here’s everything you need to know about Eva Price on Coronation Street. Eva is a cobbles favourite (Credit: ITV) Who is Eva Price? The ditzy but loveable Eva Price is the daughter of Stella and the half-sister Leanne Battersby on Stella’s side. She rocked up to Weatherfield for the first time in June 2011, when Stella and Stella’s boyfriend Karl Munro took over the Rovers Return. When Eva and Stella made their cobbles debut, Stella didn’t tell anyone about Leanne Battersby being her secret child. Eventually, the truth came out when Eva suspected her mother was having an affair with Peter Barlow. Forced to come clean, Stella revealed that she was actually Leanne’s birth mother, meaning Leanne was Eva’s half-sister. According to Stella, she had Leanne when she was 18 but Leanne’s father, Les Battersby, prevented her from seeing her daughter, causing her to miss out on nearly 30 years of Leanne’s life. David missed Shona's baby scan Shona and David were excited to find out the gender of their baby, but David ended up getting stuck in a lift. How inconvenient. Hearing how devastated David was to have missed the occasion, Shona decided to reschedule the scan. She then sat at home with a sheet mask on her face, being pampered by Bethany instead. Who played Eva Price? Eva is played by Catherine Tyldesley. Prior to Corrie, Catherine appeared in the likes of Holby City, Emmerdale and Doctors. Following her cobbles exit in 2018, Catherine went on to land roles on BBC’s Scarborough, Viewpoint and McDonald & Dodds. She also plays First Officer Kate Woods on the Channel 5 crime drama The Good Ship Murder, alongside her former TV husband Shayne Ward – who played Aidan Connor. The pair seemed to be in love – at least that’s what Eva thought, as soon enough Aidan started an affair with Maria Connor. Eva found out about Aidan’s antics after a message from Maria to Aidan flashed up on the television which was connected to Aidan’s phone. She didn’t confront her man, though. Instead she set about getting revenge. She pretended to be pregnant, and when Aidan proposed, she made Maria her head bridesmaid and sent her on all sorts of ridiculous errands during the wedding planning. She even teamed up with Adam Barlow and tried to ruin Aidan financially by taking down the Underworld Factory. Eva saved Marta (Credit: ITV) Eva’s slavery storyline Despite being known for her bad taste in men and comedic skills, Eva proved she was more than just a pretty face when she found herself involved in a shock slavery storyline in 2016. Eva came across a girl called Marta, hiding out in the factory – she’d smuggled herself out of the house where she lived when Eva and Aidan Connor went for dinner with Underworld clients. Eva and Billy Mayhew, the local vicar, realised poor Marta had been exploited by her former ’employers’ the O’Driscolls. The pair then set about exposing the O’Driscolls and helping Marta. After dating Nick Tilsley, she struck up a relationship with killer Rob Donovan in 2012. However, he ended up cheating on her. Eva then found love with Jason Grimshaw, who also previously dated her mum Stella…. Eva and Jason ended up splitting up for good in 2015. In 2018, Eva found out she was in fact pregnant with Aidan’s baby. Due to all the cheating drama, she kept her pregnancy secret and hatched a plan with Toyah Battersby for her and Peter Barlow to adopt the tot as her surrogate had recently miscarried. Eva eventually gave birth in April 2018 to a daughter she called Susie. However, Toyah went back on the agreement after Susie was born, after realising how much it was hurting Eva to be separated from her baby. After Eva gave birth, her ex-fiancé Aidan, who was also the father of her baby, sadly took his own life in May 2018. Tragically, Eva was about to ask Aidan to get back together before he killed himself. Eventually the truth about baby Susie being Eva’s child came out and she started a feud with Aidan’s dad Johnny who wanted to take Susie off her. Johnny ended up kidnapping baby Susie and was later arrested. However, Eva didn’t press charges against him and decided to leave Weatherfield to go and live in France with her mum. Maggie, Ben and Eva will soon be moving in (Credit: ITV) Earlier this year it was confirmed that Eva is heading back to the soap, with Catherine reprising her role as Eva. The character will be bringing a husband Ben and mother-in-law Maggie along with her to own the iconic Rovers Return pub, as well as Ben’s two sons and Eva’s daughter Susie. “There are niggles, issues and dramas, as happens to every family. But at the heart of it, there’s a real loyalty to each other,” Corrie boss Kate brooks recently said at a press event, about the Eva and her new family. She added: “The other thing we wanted to bring to it was that sense of community. Eva’s obviously got links to Toyah and Leanne in the Street, so she’s a familiar face. “Eva’s such an amazing character who’s so, so, so Coronation Street.
