Samia Longchambon plays Maria Connor in Coronation Street. She was born in Eccles in 1982 and is married to Dancing on Ice professional Sylvain Longchambon. They met when Samia was a contestant on the show in 2013. Samia has a 16-year-old daughter, Freya, with her first husband and she and Sylvain share son Yves, 10. Samia has played Maria in Corrie since 2000 and in 2o23 she won the third series of Cooking With the Stars.
