Leanne Battersby also returned, causing trouble for Paul Connor, and the Morton family arrived. Fiz dumped boyfriend Kirk after getting together with teacher John Stape – a decision we know she’d end up regretting! Later that year, John started an affair with schoolgirl Rosie Webster, which was revealed in dramatic style on Christmas Day. Future killer Tony Gordon also arrived on the Street. David Platt went off the rails, while his feud with sister Sarah turned nasty. And Cilla Battersby-Brown waved goodbye to Weatherfield. Other storylines in 2007 included romantic troubles for Liz McDonald, who cheated on fiance Vernon and discovered ex-husband Jim had been released from prison.
