Beyond Paradise series 4: Episode 5 guest cast includes stars of Cuckoo, The Archers, and Emmerdale

Beyond Paradise continues this week with episode 5 – the penultimate of series 4 – and welcomes guest stars from Cuckoo, The Archers, and Emmerdale to the cast.

This Friday (April 24, 2026), Humphrey and Esther are left baffled when a dogwalker leads them to a man painted green and bound with ivy. The team subsequently delve into the mystery of the mythical Green Man, and discover an off-grid community living off the land.

But when their woodland home comes under threat from a developer from the city, “tensions rise and accusations fly”. As a result, the image of the Green Man continues to crop up at crime scenes, and terrorises the land developer…

So who plays who in the cast of Beyond Paradise episode 5 as series 4 continues? Here’s everything you need to know.

Beyond Paradise series 4 episode 5 cast: Kenneth Collard stars as Edmund

Cosy crime drama Beyond Paradise series 4 continues with episode 5, and actor Kenneth Collard joins the cast as commune-dweller Edmund.

German-born Kenneth is most famous for his comedic roles, and recently played the only bit of light relief in The Capture series 3. The actor portrayed Wizard, a tech genius as his nickname suggests. He played a crucial – albeit reluctant role – in the drama that unfolded.

He’s been on our screens since the 90s, and earlier roles included Mr Busby in the comedy Morris 2274, and Chief in the teen drama Cavegirl.

Kenneth, who is five foot four, is perhaps most famous for playing Steve in the Greg Davies and Helen Baxendale comedy Cuckoo. The sitcom ran from 2012 to 2019, and Kenneth was in nearly every episode.

At the same time, the comedy actor played Steg in the daft period drama Zapped from 2016 to 2018. Other notable roles include Churchill in My Mad Fat Diary, Barnabas in A.D. The Bible Continues, Major in Detectorists, Grant in I Want My Wife Back, and Bernard Legg in Housebound.

In 2017, he portrayed Justice Young in Will, the drama about the lost years of young William Shakespeare after his arrival to London in 1589. Kenneth appeared opposite The Other Bennet Sister‘s Laurie Davidson, who played William Shakespeare.

More recently, Kenneth has appeared in Crookhaven, Alma’s not Normal, House of the Dragon, and Black Mirror. He’s been in multiple films, too, including Plebs: Soldiers of Rome, A Working Man, The Art of Love, and Brighton Rock.

Yasmin Wilde plays Janice

Yasmin Wilde, whose is half Austrian and half Pakistani, stars as Janice in this week’s Beyond Paradise. The actress, whose real name is Yasmin Faruqi, grew up in Cambridgeshire and is known for her work across theatre and TV.

She’s been on our screens since the 90s, and her very first role was in The Bill. As a jobbing actress, she’s popped up in EastEnders, Jonathan Creek, Torchwood, Holby, and Doctors.

Fans of The Archers will know her best as Azra Malik, a role she’s played since 2023. Other notable TV roles include Min in Doc Martin, Benilda in This Is Going to Hurt, and Bushra Yousafzai in The Undeclared War.

Elaine Claxton portrays Mavis

British theatre and TV actress Elaine Claxton stars as pooch-loving Mavis in the cast of Beyond Paradise series 4 episode 5. Soap fans will know her best as Martha Harris in Emmerdale, a role she portrayed in 2017. Martha was rapist Pierce Harris’ mother, so not much to be proud of.

After starting her TV career in the 90s, she went on to appear in dramas such as The Bill, EastEnders, Holby, Waking the Dead, and Deceit. Between 2002 and 2004, she played Maggie Thomas in the Robson Green psychological drama Wire in the Blood.

Other noteworthy roes include Marjorie Blaikeley in Tommies, and Penny Marsh in The Archers.

James Clay is Lee Outram

Actor James Clay stars as Lee Outram in this week’s Beyond Paradise. He is most famous for portraying Ken Dwyer in the crime drama The Long Shadow, and DC Brandon in the Tom Hardy gangster series MobLand.

He’s also popped up as Ethan Hanson in Netflix drama Wednesday, Guy Titt in Nutritiously Nicola, and Luke Watney in Whitechapel. His very first screen role was portraying Jeremy Spenser in the 2011 film My Week with Marilyn. Michelle Williams played Marilyn Monroe in the movie.

Jeremy Spenser was a real actor, who played the young King Nicolas in The Prince and the Showgirl with Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe. The actor is one of the few people who worked closely with Marilyn and still alive to tell the tale.
