Celebrity Gogglebox 2026: Is Gladiators' Matt 'Legend' Morsia married and does he have children?
The Gladiator is bringing his huge ego to the sofaGladiators’ Legend, real name Matt Morsia, is swapping the high energy arena tonight for the comfort of his sofa in Celebrity Gogglebox 2026.
Matt is best known to Gladiators fans as Legend and, boy, he really plays up to the name!
Tonight, Matt and his Gladiators co-star Harry ‘Nitro’ Aikines Aryeetey will be resting their muscles as they turn armchair critics for the Channel 4 show.
They are among eight new faces joining the already popular line-up.
As news of the duo’s signing was announced, Legend quipped to his pal Nitro about how they were “being paid to watch telly”.
“Who green-lighted that?” he asked.
Here, we take a look at who Matt – aka Legend – really is and whether he is married with children.
Celebrity Gogglebox 2026: Who is Legend (real name Matt Morsia)?
Matt Morsia is 40 years old and he has starred as Gladiators’ Legend since the iconic 90s show’s reboot in 2023.
Legend is a Marmite character – both adored and loathed by fans of the BBC show. To say he is confident and full of himself in the Gladiators arena would be an understatement!
After most events, Legend is quick to take the mic from hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh and tell the crowd just how well he has performed. Even if he does badly, he will turn it around and always has an excuse!
In real life, Matt is a bodybuilder and YouTuber. He is a former long jump and triple jump athlete. Matt became a powerlifter in 2012 and won a silver medal at the 2016 European Championships.
Matt later worked as a PE teacher at Folkestone Academy in Kent. These days, Matt owns his own Training and Nutrition app called Morsia. He claims to have already helped 250,000 people “transform their bodies” with his business.
Is Matt – aka Legend – married?
Matt is married. His wife is called Sarah and, this summer, they will celebrate 14 years of marriage.
Sarah works as Managing Director for Matt’s business, Morsia. She is also a food, fitness and travel influencer and has an impressive 98,000 followers on Instagram.
In December, Matt revealed the secret to his happy marriage during an appearance on ITV1’s Loose Women.
He said: “We were friends when we were 14, so we’ve been together for 25 years. We are very close. It’s a balance.
“The key things are having your own interests. What you don’t want is someone being reliant on the other person to do stuff.”

Does Matt Morsia have children?
Matt and Sarah have two children together. They have two sons called Luca, nine, and Mauro, four.
Both boys are mad keen on Gladiators and Luca even got his very own Pugil stick for Christmas last year! Matt also told Loose Women: “They’re four and nine. Nine is prime Gladiators age.”
Luca and Mauro clearly look up to their dad and want to be just like him. Matt regularly posts snaps of his sons on Instagram as they show off their ‘muscly’ bare chests alongside him. Cute!
Legend on The Celebrity Apprentice
Matt took part in The Celebrity Apprentice when the show returned following a long hiatus last Christmas. And although he took part as himself, Legend definitely slipped out during the show!
The celebs were split into teams in the two-part special and tasked with making Christmas biscuits. Sales of the biccies will raisedmoney for Children in Need.
On Day 1, Matt told his fellow team mates that he “knows” he would make a great Project Manager. He said: “I’ve built two multi-million pound companies from scratch with zero investment, right.
“I also own a third company, which I pitched to retailers and high street supermarkets in the food and beverage sectors. This is exactly what we’re going to be doing.
“So we want a PM, right? I am literally PM of the Gladiators. I’ve been carrying that show for two years. So if you’re looking for a PM…”
Actress Sarah Hadland told Matt: “What I love about you is the honesty and humbleness that you bring.” LOL.
Unfortunately, both teams’ biscuits ended up leaving a sour taste in customers’ mouths when they eventually went on sale!
When does Celebrity Gogglebox 2026 start?
Celebrity Gogglebox fans have been waiting for this day for a long time, but it has finally arrived!
The brand new series starts at 9pm tonight (Friday June 5, 2026) at 9pm on Channel 4. Other stars who have joined the line-up include Olivia Attwood, Nigel Havers and Julian Clary.
