Celebrity Gladiators 2026 'drafts in Traitors winner Harry Clark' after Chris Ramsey suffers injury
Filming for the special has just wrappedCelebrity Gladiators has brought Traitors winner Harry Clark into the arena after Chris Ramsey suffered a leg muscle injury during filming, according to reports.
Comedian Chris was originally announced in the Celebrity Gladiators 2026 line-up alongside AJ Odudu, George Clarke and Sara Pascoe.
It’s been claimed the hamstring injury prevented him from taking part in the Unleashed event, although he did not withdraw from the special entirely.
Celebrity Gladiators 2026: Harry Clark ‘enters the arena’
It was reported in The Sun that Harry was drafted in after Chris was forced to miss the challenge during filming of the Celebrity Gladiators special. The former soldier won The Traitors in 2024.
Audience members at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena were said to have been delighted by Harry’s unexpected appearance, even though he apparently entered with a bandaged hand.
It’s claimed Harry didn’t injure himself while training for Gladiators. He apparently had a mishap while making a cup of tea!
In Gladiators history, there will often be contenders on standby if an injury occurs mid-game. The standby will take over the baton and continue on their behalf.
This happened in 2024 in Gladiators. Chung Leung suffered a leg injury in the semi-final while playing Powerball. Matt Jones, who Chung had previously beaten, was brought out to continue with the remaining events on his behalf.
Chris, however, is only said to have sat out of Unleashed. He reportedly returned to the arena for the remainder of the competition.
TVGuide contacted the BBC but a spokesperson refused to comment.
When will Celebrity Gladiators 2026 air?
Bradley Walsh and Barney Walsh will once again host Celebrity Gladiators.
The exact date the special will air is yet to confirmed by the BBC. However, the last two Celebrity Gladiators have aired as Christmas specials. So expect to be watching it this December.
The civilian Gladiators usually returns soon after in the New Year.
