Death in Paradise: Why it isn't on tonight and when you can watch the final episode as BBC One changes the schedules yet again
Fans will have to wait a while for the season 15 finale
Death in Paradise fans hoping to watch the series 15 finale will be disappointed tonight as the tropical crime drama has disappeared from the schedules yet again – so when is it next on?
The case of the disappearing crime drama has been a pretty recurrent theme over the past couple of weeks. First of all, BBC One rescheduled episode 3 due to Match of the Day Live: The FA Cup, then episode 6 suffered a similar fate. We can blame football for that pesky schedule change, too.
This Friday (March 20), the usual 9pm Death in Paradise episode has been moved for a good cause. So why isn’t it on, when is the next episode, and how you can watch it.

Why isn’t series 15 on tonight?
The final episode of Death in Paradise series 15 will not air in its usual Friday night slot tonight. Fans expecting to get their weekly fix of sunny Saint Marie will be left disappointed.
But it’s all in a good cause. Tonight, Comic Relief: Funny For Money will take over BBC One. The annual charity event runs from 7pm until 10pm.
In 2026, Davina McCall, Joel Dommett, Catherine Tate (as Nan), Nick Mohammed and Katherine Ryan host from Media City UK, Salford.
Highlights include a world exclusive of Traitors: The Movie: The Sequel. Meanwhile, Amandaland returns with a sketch full of famous Amandas, and Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond find a creative but very risky way to raise money for Comic Relief – robbing a bank.
Radio 1 DJ Greg James finishes his mammoth challenge of riding a tandem bike 1,000km across the UK in just seven days. Having travelled from Weymouth to Edinburgh, he will make his way to Media City to join the fundraising in the studio.

When is Death in Paradise next on?
The missing Death in Paradise episode will air on Friday, March 27, 2926 at 9pm on BBC One. So fans will have waited two whole weeks for the series 15 finale. But it will be worth the wait.
In episode 8, DI Mervin Wilson investigates the death of Giles, an eccentric monster hunter, whose dead body is recovered from the sea. His injuries are oddly suggestive of the legendary creature he’s spent years chasing – the Lusca. But, of course, something far more ordinary is to blame. If you can call a killer ordinary. Well, you can in Saint Marie!
Meanwhile, Mervin’s sassy niece Eloise turns his life upside down with her unexpected visit. The guest cast of the final episode includes Toby Williams as Giles Parry, Alexis Rodney as Kelvin Mason, Claudie Blakley as Cara Smart, and Nicholas Burns as Rory Lyons.
If you’re a fan of the Paraverse, then Friday, March 27, will be an great night for you. Beyond Paradise series 4 lands at 8pm, going out before Death in Paradise at 9pm.
Where is Death in Paradise filmed?
Part of the detective drama's lasting appeal is its beautiful filming locations. Although it is set on the fictional Antilles island of Saint Marie, it's actually filmed on the island of Guadeloupe.
Guadeloupe is an archipelago of six inhabited islands in the southern Caribbean. Death in Paradise's main seaside setting, St Honoré, is actually the picturesque fishing village of Deshaies in the north eastern corner of Guadeloupe. Honoré Police station, where much of the action takes place, is filmed at Church of St Peter and St Paul in Deshaies.
Catherine's bar is actually a beachfront bar called Le Madras on Rue de La Vague Bleue in Deshaies.
You can actually visit these locations. Catch a flight to Guadeloupe's Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport and the pretty fishing village of Deshaies is just an hour's cab ride to the west. There's a few unofficial Death in Paradise tours on offer, too.
