Does Laurel die? Laurel will survive and Arthur will leave after horror attack
Arthur has gone too farArthur Thomas and his serious attitude problem went way too far in Emmerdale tonight (Thursday February 26) when he pushed Laurel and she was knocked unconscious – but does she die?
For weeks Laurel has been putting up with Arthur’s outbursts, bad behaviour and angry insults. And now he has lashed out physically leaving her fighting for her life in hospital.
Although we know that Laurel does survive, she’s faced with some big decisions about her son in the coming weeks. And Arthur isn’t going to like it.

Arthur pushes Laurel in Emmerdale
Arthur is not pleased with his mum after she destroyed his dreams of using Ray’s drug money to go travelling in Australia. Laurel gave the money to Marlon and Rhona who she felt were the rightful owners.
When he discovered on Thursday that she had been to see Ray’s body in the chapel of rest, he was immediately furious again. He later laid into Gabby calling her pathetic for giving her blessing to Vinny and Lewis’ romance.
Already worked up into a state Arthur went home where Laurel arrived and tried to talk to him. She said she understood his anger, but that he needed to grow up and stop behaving this way.
Arthur got angrier and angrier and as the red mist descended, he pushed Laurel violently and she fell backwards hitting her head on the stairs.

Does Laurel die in Emmerdale?
As she lies unconscious, tomorrow (Friday February 27), Arthur calls an ambulance and Laurel is taken to hospital. He lies that he arrived home and found his mum like that and he has no idea what happened.
The doctors work to save Laurel who is in a bad way, but spoilers for next week confirm she does survive the incident.
And Laurel is also backing Arthur’s lie that he had nothing to do with it. She insists she blacked out and fell on the stairs.
Nicola wants answers for why Laurel would have blacked out and starts pressuring the doctors for more tests. Arthur knows his involvement could be discovered at any time.
At home, Laurel is feeling dizzy and Arthur knows what he has done is having long-lasting effects on his mum’s life.
Manpreet visits Laurel and sends Gabby and Arthur away. She wants to get to the truth of what happened. But as her suspicions grow about Laurel’s story, will Manpreet uncover the Arthur’s guilt?

Arthur to leave
It’s not as simple as Arthur getting away with it, however. Actress Charlotte Bellamy who plays Laurel has revealed that although Laurel protects her son, she does ask him to leave.
Speaking to The Mirror Charlotte explained: “The story is about how much a mother or a parent protects their child. She doesn’t want people to think the worst of him.”
However Laurel sees things needs to change, so she wants some time apart. “She asks him to leave,” Charlotte explained. “But that’s not for the long term.”
Just how far will Laurel go to protect Arthur though? And would coming clean be better than living in fear of your own son?
