EastEnders early iPlayer release finally confirms the shock paternity of Priya’s baby

Priya has been secretly dealing with the fact she doesn’t actually know for certain who the father of her unborn baby is. But tonight that all changed.
After finally taking a paternity test, Priya received the life-changing message confirming the identity.
EastEnders who’s the dad storyline
After Priya’s relationship with ex-boyfriend Ravi broke down, she took control of her life back and had a whirlwind affair with Max Branning – who is currently engaged to Cindy.
Then, in a surprise twist, Priya discovered she was pregnant. And had absolutely no idea who the father of the baby was.
But an oblivious Ravi was determined to make things right, and even recently popped the question.
Priya knew she needed an answer for her own sake, and turned to Jean for help. But after she decided to have a termination, Max encouraged her to marry Ravi and be happy.
It wasn’t until Priya witnessed Penny having a pregnancy scare where she had a blood clot that she decided to keep her baby. And after making the decision, she encouraged Ravi to ask her to marry him again.
Who is the dad of Priya’s baby?
Well in shocking scenes tonight, Priya was impatiently waiting for the DNA results. She never managed to get a swab from Ravi, but successfully got one from Max in secret.
While Ravi was encouraging Priya to tell her family about their engagement, she was clearly distracted by her phone.
And that’s because she had received a text confirming Max Branning is the father of her baby.
Now that she knows the truth for certain, Priya could be in for a rough ride in EastEnders. Because, now she has to decide what to do.
Will she decide to tell the truth? Or is this a secret that she’s going to keep buried for as long as possible?
EastEnders fans weren’t too surprised with the reveal, as many predicted the shock twist.
Taking to social media, one wrote: “Another predictable outcome we all saw coming! Oh Priya, you’re officially tied down to Max Branning forever. And he now has his sixth child on the Square!”
