It’s been an extremely dramatic week in Walford as Amy and Craig’s grooming storyline finally came to an end. And in a very gruesome way.
But now, with Amy back home and hiding the truth, many EastEnders fans believe a shock twist is coming. One that will lead straight into Max’s New Year episode.
Amy killed Craig in EastEnders
Over the last few months, EastEnders fans have been horrified as Craig managed to isolate Amy from everyone she loves.
Eventually, he convinced her to run away with him. But when the pair were alone, he turned violent towards the teenager. As well as forcing himself on her, Craig also hit her.
In a shocking showdown, Amy decided to fight back. But as she hit him over the head, she accidentally killed him.
As things stand, Amy’s actions have not been revealed. And fans are starting to wonder whether she will escape the blame. Instead, they think Max will be arrested for the crime.
Fans believe Max will be blamed
EastEnders viewers know that Max is accused of murdering, or attempting to murder, someone. The arrest will take place on New Year’s Day and, as that is just around the corner, many fans believe there is plenty of time for Craig’s death to be discovered.
During the flash-forward episode, armed police arrived and took Max away. Jack was then asked to help Max, despite the pair seemingly not being on good terms.
The distance between the brothers could also link to Craig and Amy, as Jack may have discovered that Max took a cut of Amy’s inheritance.
One fan penned: “So they’re going to set Max up for Amy killing Craig?”
Another added: “I think it will be soon that Amy exposes Max because of the trailer. But, I also wonder if, after tonight’s episode, Max is about to be framed for a certain death given what happened in the flash-forward episode.”
“It makes so much sense! Max is meant to be accused of murder at some point, isn’t he? I can’t see them killing anyone else off between now and New Year, so maybe it is Craig?”
So, while fans are convinced that this twist is coming, the big question is whether Amy will confide in her family about what really happened with Craig?
