EastEnders iPlayer release airs shocking collapse for major character as Max Branning drops huge bombshell to Cindy on wedding day
Max's day just got a whole lot worseEastEnders fans were left shocked after today’s iPlayer release aired a surprise collapse for Max Branning – right as he decided to tell Cindy the truth.
This week has been highly anticipated by EastEnders fans, as the wedding of Max and Cindy finally took place. But naturally, there were quite a few obstacles in the way.
While last night’s episode cended with both Linda and Priya storming into the ceremony, tonight went down a surprising route. And ended in an even bigger shock that has fans questioning – is Max dead?

Many EastEnders fans were hoping that Priya and Linda were about to spill everything and ruin Max’s big day. Viewers know that Priya and Max embarked on a controversial affair which has resulted in her carrying his baby. And Linda recently confessed her love for Max, before his big day.
So both women had reasons for wanting to stop the wedding. However, in the moment, neither could go through with it. Linda spotted her little girl, Annie, in the crowd, and immediately knew she couldn’t reveal the truth.
And so, instead of interrupting, both women took a seat at the back and watched Max say ‘I do’ to Cindy. However, knowing Linda was in the audience, Max kept stealing glances towards the woman he really loves.

After the ceremony, Linda and Priya cornered Max in a room upstairs and he had a go at both of them for trying to ruin the ceremony. However, Cindy was quick to interrupt the conversation, wanting to know what was going on.
Priya quickly left the room, and Max pretended that he and Linda had parenting things to discuss to get a moment alone.
With Cindy away, Max reminded Linda that he feels the same way, and if she wanted him to leave his new wife all she had to do was say the word.
But later, during the speeches, Max admitted that he needs to do things differently this time. And so he dropped a huge bombshell on Cindy – that he hasn’t been honest with her and has been lying.
However, right before he got to say exactly what about, he clutched his chest and fell to the ground.
So, with Cindy now aware Max has been keeping a huge secret, will she finally discover the truth? And will Max be okay?
Is Max Branning dead?
While EastEnders fans will just have to tune in to the rest of the week to fully discover what happened to Max, they can rest assured that he isn’t going anywhere – yet.
We know that he at least makes it to New Year’s Day, thanks to the flashforward we got at the start of the year. But, because of that, we also know by then he has racked up quite a few enemies.
So, with some fans already thinking Cindy may be the New Year shooter, could this wedding day disaster be proof that she is about to go against her new husband? Only time will tell.
