'What the hell have you done to Cain Dingle?': Emmerdale fans blast 'insufferable' character 'change'
Cain isn't like he used to be
Emmerdale fans haven’t been left very happy with how long-time fan favourite Cain Dingle’s been behaving recently.
Since his cancer diagnosis, Cain’s been understandably miserable but it seems that every conversation soon turns into an argument with him recently.
He’s shutting down and rejecting support from loved ones, and fans aren’t willing to stand for it any longer.
Emmerdale’s Cain takes on ‘personality’ transplant
Cancer is a lot of anybody to deal with, so Cain was always bound to have a hard time processing his diagnosis and need for treatment.
However, he has now seemed to blame everybody for his situation and has successfully just about burned bridges with everyone closest to him.
Moira has been one of Cain’s biggest supporters, trying to show him how loved he is. However, everything she says Cain views as an attack – from encouraging him to have further treatment to wanting a cosy day in with him as a couple. It’s left her feeling as though she’s treading on eggshells.
And, if that wasn’t bad enough, Cain’s now taking his feelings out on son Kyle. His competition with Graham over who can be the best role model to Kyle has actually left viewers questioning his parenting skills.
He’s desperate for Graham to back away from Kyle’s life, not seeing that Graham is actually what Kyle needs right now – somebody who can distract him from the situation at home and help him focus on training for the cadets.
Cain’s hurting, but he’s gradually backing himself into a corner that he soon won’t be able to get out of. And, he’ll be alone when he tries.
Emmerdale fans demand the ‘old’ Cain returns after personality change
Emmerdale fans are now desperate for Cain to stop being so miserable and revert back to the family man he once was.
One fan on Instagram asked: “What the hell have you done to Cain Dingle? [BLEEP]”
Another wrote: “BLEEP have they done to Cain Dingle? Sort it out.”
A third person shared: “Absolutely awful atm, Emmerdale. Literally just a cycle of Cain and Moira being friends, Cain and Moira falling out. Every single episode ends with Charity crying, just feels like it’s stuck in a loop.”
A fourth fan added: “They have made Cain completely insufferable, a strange way to tell a cancer story, it’s actually a relief when he’s not in an episode.”
A final fan on X shared: “Catch a grip of yourself Cain. Moira is only trying to support u and u r just being an idiot and a bully towards her .[Bleep] the woman deserves so much than him.”
