Emmerdale fans rejoice as Nicola makes huge discovery about Jimmy in ITV’s early release episode: 'About time!'

For weeks, Emmerdale fans have been desperate for Nicola to discover that Jimmy was not having an affair with Sadie. But every single time she came close to the realisation, something got in her way.
However, in tonight’s episode (October 9), the village say goodbye to the King legend – and Nicola goes on to finally make the discovery we have all been waiting for. But she’s still oblivious about the money.
Nicola finally discovers the truth about Jimmy and Sadie
In Emmerdale tonight, Carl is heartbroken that his tablet has broken, and his entire project for Jimmy’s funeral had gone with it. But Nicola is too scared of him finding out about Sadie that she refuses to let him onto Jimmy’s laptop.
Nicola decided that even though she was furious at her husband, she still needed to make sure the kids got the chance to say goodbye properly. So, with Laurel’s help, she tried to find a backup of Carl’s project.
However, they discovered that all of the voice-notes Jimmy had sent Sadie were now downloaded onto the laptop itself – after someone deleted them.
Both women were confused as to who could’ve done it. But Nicola decided to hit play and listen fully, with Laurel by her side.
That’s when she heard that Jimmy told Sadie he won’t be contacting her again, after they set-up a payment plan for her to pay him back. Shocked and relieved Nicola realised Jimmy was actually the man she thought he was. And it was time to confront Sadie.
Nicola and Sadie’s graveside showdown
At the funeral, Nicola bumped Sadie away from front row, but managed to hold her anger in to make sure Jimmy got a beautiful service. And he did.
But, when they’re at the graveside and the kids are gone, Nicola wasted no time in telling Sadie exactly what she knows.
Nicola began whacking Sadie with the funeral flowers. And informed her she knew that her husband never cheated on her once. Sadie tried to protest her innocence, but Robert very quickly interrupted and dragged her away.
While Nicola – and everyone else – now know the truth, it brings a new question of what sort of “trouble” was Jimmy helping Sadie get away from?
Emmerdale fans ‘thrilled’ as showdown ensues
After some Emmerdale fans watched the episode on ITVX and YouTube, they took to social media to share how happy they were that the truth is now out there.
One penned: “Nicola King whacking Sadie with a flowers bouquet and her falling down in the dirt. Incredible scenes.”
Another added: “Tears in my eyes watching today’s episode. It was so beautiful and moving. I do love it when all the villagers get together. And it was about time Nicola knew the truth!”
“I’m so glad Nicola knows there was no affair. Her entire grieving process was completely ruined!” a third commented.
