John lines up his next plan and Robert is adamant he is guilty of something, spoilers show danger looms
Things are about to get bad for RobertThe feud between John and Robert Sugden in Emmerdale is only really getting started. And spoilers show that danger looms next week.
Tonight (June 18), Victoria headed to see Robert after learning about his and Aaron’s kiss. But Rob spent the visit warning her that John Sugden is dangerous, to no avail.
John, however, was desperate to find a way to stay in control of his life, and by the end of the episode, it seemed he has a plan, which doesn’t look good for Robert, who is about to make his Emmerdale return.
What happened after John found out about Robert and Aaron’s kiss?
John slept in his van, while Aaron spent all night waiting for him to come home. And when he did, he revealed that he knew about the kiss.
The pair argued over what it meant, with Aaron adamant that it’s John he loves. Aaron also reminded him that on their wedding day John went to see Aidan.
Looking for a way to stay in control, John called the helpline again. He admitted that he only ever feels true happiness when he is saving people, as it gives him “the biggest high for days”.
And so, the phone operator tells him to focus on that – saving people. This sparks something in John’s mind and he confirmed he “knows what to do next” – sounds sinister.
While that was going on, Vic headed to the prison to see Rob again to warn him off Aaron.
He told her that he was concerned about the man he loves because he could tell something was going on with John. Robert filled her in on John’s visit and how he threatened him. But Victoria remains one of John’s biggest fans. And instead, tells Robert to stay away from the village.
Danger looms for Robert
Obviously, in true Robert style, he doesn’t listen and heads back to the Emmerdale village, determined to win Aaron back, leaving John fuming.
Victoria lets her brother stay with her, but when John spots the black eye Robert gave her, he is determined to get rid of him.
Robert begins to spiral, wanting any distraction possible. And so he begins to drink a lot and have random hook-ups to make Aaron jealous.
But things go dark when one of his dates drugs him, and John is the one to intervene. But he gets an unconscious Robert in the back of his van and looms over him with a syringe – it was a syringe which killed Nate.
When Robert wakes up alone and terrified, he has no idea how he got there. Will John play the hero once again? Or will he take the opportunity to get rid of his brother?
