In Emmerdale spoilers for Mon, Jun 29 - Fri, Jul 3, Sarah’s back in hospital to undergo surgery to treat her cervical cancer. Cain and Charity face an anxious wait for news on their granddaughter’s condition, but when it comes it’s not good. Is Sarah’s life under threat?
Cain discovers the truth about Sarah’s cancer in Emmerdale spoilers
Up until now Cain has been in the dark about Sarah’s IVF journey, with only Jacob and Charity knowing the truth. But that all changes when Jacob accidentally puts his foot in it.
Cain is raging when he realises Jacob knows more about his own granddaughter’s life he does. He grabs Jacobs and starts threatening him, as Sarah arrives on the scene to witness his violent outburst. Sarah orders Cain to let Jacob go, which he does, but he doesn’t hold back in voicing his disapproval over her IVF plans.
Defiant Sarah stands firm in her decision, leaving the pair at odds.
Jacob offers to father Sarah’s baby
Following their run-in with Cain, Sarah offloads to Jacob. She admits her grandad’s negative reaction to her baby plan has left her doubting herself. Jacob tries his best to reassure Sarah that she’s making the right decision, and it’s clear he wants to support her in any way he can.
As Sarah’s fears over her mortality continue to mount, Jacob then stuns Sarah by suggesting he acts as her sperm donor.

Later in the week, Sarah is back at the hospital as she prepares for her cancer operation. Charity is by her side, and while Sarah is grateful for her gran’s unwavering support, it’s clear the enormity of what lies ahead is taking its toll on both of them.
Sarah is desperate for reassurance about her IVF plans before she heads into surgery. But while Charity insists she’ll still support Sarah, but admits she still feels as if having a baby would be an irresponsible move.
Sarah’s heartbroken reaction leaves Charity in despair, but there’s not time to make things right as her granddaughter is taken down for her operation.
