Emmerdale shock twist: Dr Crowley is Eddie! Theories on how Joe will bring him down

As Joe picks his jaw up off the floor over that revelation, we’re wondering exactly what his next move will be. We’ve definitely got a few ideas on how Crowley needs to be dealt with…
Dr Crowley unmasked as Kim’s new man in Emmerdale
In Friday night’s installment of the soap (July 11), Joe was introduced to Kim’s fella, Eddie. He was stunned to see Dr Crowley making himself at home at the manor house.
Less than 24 hours previously, Crowley had Joe paralysed and was threatening to remove his kidney if Joe didn’t cough up all of his money.
But henchman Shaun made it clear this evening that Joe had not seen the last of Crowley, and sure enough minutes later there he was in the kitchen at Home Farm.
Joe was understandably prickly about him, much to Kim’s annoyance. However he weirdly went along with the facade and even let Crowley stay the night.
Then the dodgy doc told Joe what he was really after: all of Kim’s money too. And he wants Joe to help him get it or else Crowley will hurt Dawn, the kids and Kim.
Left with a dilemma, what will Joe do next?
How can Joe get rid of Crowley for good?
1. Tell Kim everything!
This seems the most obvious option – and we can’t really understand why he didn’t do that straight away to be honest! Kim knows all about his kidney theft and everything he did and she knows there was a doctor involved. So Joe has nothing at all to lose by telling her the truth.
Sure, Crowley has threatened Dawn and Kim, but Ms Tate has seen off far scarier and more capable people than him. He’s little more than a flea to her and she would find the ultimate way to deal with him, we’re sure.
And some fans certainly think it’s the right option:
“Dr Crowley’s days are numbered,” declared one. “He’s dating Kim to get her money. The same Kim who discovered her own son Jamie was drugging her. The same Kim who shut down Caleb’s scheme to get her money and Home Farm. And the same Kim who shut down her own husband Will’s scheme.”
They’ve got a point!
Although Joe never did have much time for telling the truth, did he?
2. But what if Kim’s in on it with her new man Crowley in Emmerdale?
“It would be very funny if it turns out [Dr Crowley] is Queen Kim’s new man and she was in on it!” said one fan on social media.
This is a good point! Very little gets by Kim Tate and she could well be in on the whole thing. We never quite bought that she just forgave Joe for everything and warmly welcomed him in as family – so has she been playing him all this time?
Perhaps Joe won’t ever be able to rid himself of Crowley and instead Crowley will rid Kim of Joe Tate for good?
3. Turn to Sam and his shotgun
Sam Dingle clearly seems to be on Joe’s side at the moment and even protected him from Shaun the other night. Could Sam step up as the new Graham Foster and protect Joe going forward – starting with getting rid of Crowley in a very definite way!
4. Pay off Shaun!
Much of Crowley’s plan relies on ‘Knifey Shaun’ – but money talks and we can’t imagine Shaun wouldn’t be open to whoever was the highest bidder.
If Joe used his considerable fortune (we know he gave some of it away, but there’s got to be more somewhere, £100k isn’t the extent of his wealth) to bribe Shaun back to his side, Crowley would be helpless.
