Charity’s made a lot of mistakes in her life, but one of her biggest regrets is cheating on Mack with Ross.
The exes had a drunken hook-up earlier this year after Charity rowed Mack over her decision to act as a surrogate for Sarah. Charity’s night with Ross was meant to be a one-off, but then she discovered she was pregnant and had no clue whose kid she was carrying.
Charity’s worst fears were recently realised when a DNA test confirmed Ross was the baby daddy. Unable to terminate the pregnancy or tell her family the truth, Charity has decided to have the tot and pass it off as Sarah and Jacob’s. But the pressure of harbouring such a huge secret is really starting to get to her.
Right now, Chas is the only other person who knows the real truth. Ross believes Charity is having Sarah’s child after she faked the DNA results. But that hasn’t stopped him threatening to out their foolish fling.
Ross and Mack’s friendship is troubling Charity
While Charity’s stress levels continue to rise, Ross is having fun hanging out with Mack.
The friendship has taken fans by surprise, particularly because Mack and Ross have never seen eye-to-eye. When Ross returned to the Dales last year he took an immediate dislike to the man who’d been helping raise Moses. And the feeling was mutual as Mack accused Ross of being a bad dad.
That all seems to be forgotten about now as it’s all bevvies and bonding. But Ross’s constant presence at Jacobs Fold is putting Charity on edge as she knows he has the power to rip her family apart.

Although she’s managed to deceive Ross about the pregnancy, Charity still fears he’ll tell Mack they slept together. And when a tipsy Mack later announces that he and Ross tell one another everything, Charity is thrown into a complete panic.
