Callum Highway resumed flirting with Johnny Carter in EastEnders this week, continuing his betrayal of husband Ben Mitchell. Callum’s been feeling down since Ben was extradited to America for credit card fraud, and grew close to Johnny in his absence.
The resultant kiss led to Johnny’s boyfriend, Felix, leaving town, and the pair soon began a full-blown affair. Their secret didn’t stay secret for long though, and Callum’s furious father-in-law stumbled across their affair, exploding with fury when he found out.
Callum and Jay managed to defuse the situation, convincing Phil not to tell Ben. Callum, meanwhile, agreed to stay away from Johnny.
He wasn’t able to keep his promise though, and resumed flirting with Johnny via text last night (Thursday, August 7). But with Callum’s feelings for Jonny only set to grow, who exactly should he be with?

An exclusive poll by EastEnders Insider has revealed soap fans’ thoughts on the matter. 600 readers were presented with three options – Ben, Johnny and, uh, neither.
In a narrow majority, Ben takes the win, with 43% of viewers agreeing that Callum should wait for his husband.
The rest of the vote was split down the middle, with 29% thinking that Callum should be with neither man, and instead focus on himself. The other 28 percent? They think he should be with Johnny.

Ben returns as tragedy strikes
Callum will be reunited with Ben a lot sooner than he thinks. EastEnders has revealed that Ben will make a brief return to the soap later this year when Callum’s dad, Jonno Highway, dies.
On day release from the prison, Ben attends the funeral along with Callum’s brother, Stuart. But with Callum’s feelings for Johnny only growing, what chaos will Ben’s sudden return cause? Will Phil be able to stay quiet about Callum’s betrayal when he comes face-to-face with his son?
