'You can eat me if you’re hungry!' Gemma Collins' most iconic one-liners as I'm A Celebrity fans declare she's 'saved the show'
We can't wait to see what the next two weeks bring!
Gemma Collins is firmly in her redemption era on I’m A Celebrity South Africa and we’re here for it!
The ex-TOWIE star entered the all-stars spin-off as a latecomer alongside Craig Charles. But while he headed to Main Camp, Gemma was given her chance to shine in Savannah Scrub.
And shine she did. In fact, with the help of her meme-worthy one-liners, she’s been hailed as the saviour of the show by viewers…

Why we love Gemma Collins on I’m A Celebrity South Africa
Gemma Collins has been pure chaos and comedy on I’m a Celebrity South Africa. And even though the series is still airing, she’s already delivered some iconic meme-worthy one-liners.
Content aside, her delivery is what makes them brilliant. From dramatic panic to random theories, it’s pure unadulterated diva commentary.
Gemma’s humour comes from the star being completely unfiltered. She swings between panic, confidence and absurdity in seconds, which is why fans keep quoting her, and why they reckon she’s “saved” the show.

‘Bed-gate’
One thing seemed to pain Gemma more than anything during her time in Savannah Scrub, and she wasn’t shy when it came to complaining about the camp she declared was “like Bedrock, something out of The Flintstones”.
After settling down for a less-than-comfortable first night’s sleep, Gemma urged anyone watching to “call her agent” before seemingly forgetting her hefty show paycheck and wailing: “What have I done in my life to deserve this?”

Things weren’t much better the next morning… Or the next… “I’m gonna need back surgery after one night’s sleep,” she declared on day two.
After being subjected to “the worst bed possible”, she hit us with another one-liner on day three. “I have never experienced wood that is so hard,” a straight-faced Gemma told campmate Beverley Callard as she started another day in camp.
Gemma Collins’ trials and tribulations
“Sorry I can’t, I’m gonna die, I’m gonna be hospitalised!” Gemma declared as she puked up springbok brains during her eating trial.
“I think I’m losing my eyesight,” she declared when back in camp, blaming the food on her vision loss.
Her second Bushtucker Trial, which saw the claustrophobic star immersed in a tank of water, saw her fearing for her life again… This time before it had even begun.
“I can’t die!” the star wailed… as the water sat around knee-level.

‘You can eat me if you get hungry’
A lack of food in Savannah Scrub didn’t dent Gemma’s trademark humour. And the star even had a handy solution for ravenous campmates Beverley Callard, Adam Thomas and Seann Walsh.
“You can eat me if you get hungry, that’ll keep you full for a few weeks,” she declared deadpan after they lost another trial.
She’s not a fan of air-fryer cooking though, our Gemma. She told the campmates that she gave hers away after using it once. Why? Well, for this very baffling reason…
“The minute it went on, I felt like it sucked all the air from my kitchen, like I couldn’t get any oxygen,” she explained.
The best Gemma Collins I’m A Celebrity one-liners still to come?
Last night, the camps merged, and Gemma came face-to-face with heavyweight boxer David Haye, days after he denied her water in her trial.
After one-liners such as – “He’s in a permanent throuple, the geezer” and “Do you think he denies them water?” – we can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!
