Gladiators series 4 will air on the BBC next year for another run of arena excitement.

Sheffield arena is set to see a brand new series that promises to push competitors harder than ever as they go head-to-head with the Gladiators.

The BBC has now shared details of the new upcoming series and who will be back at the helm…

It also announced another celebrity special of Gladiators!

Who will host Gladiators series 4 on the BBC?

Father and son duo Bradley and Barney Walsh will host the new series of Gladiators.

The BBC has said they’ll guide viewers through another series of high-stakes challenges, dramatic showdowns and unforgettable Saturday night moments.

BBC reveals ‘new event’ and celebrity special of Gladiators

According to the BBC, a new event will be revealed in due course. It’ll join iconic classics Duel, Hang Tough and the Eliminator while last year’s additions Everest, Destruction and Suspension Bridge return for being a hit with fans.

Meanwhile, in a one-off episode, four celebrities will enter the arena to see if they can handle the pressure.

Kalpna Patel‑Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, says: “Since Gladiators burst back onto screens in 2024, it’s been amazing to see families across the UK rally behind the contenders and champion our phenomenal Gladiators as the true stars of Saturday nights.

“With a brand‑new series confirmed and another Celebrity Special on the way, audiences can look forward to even more colossal clashes, even more edge of your seat excitement and plenty of opportunities to raise those foam fingers high once again.”

Hungry Bear Media and MGM Alternative UK, a division of Amazon MGM Studios, make Gladiators.

Gladiators has proven a hit with viewers. According to the BBC, the most recent series drew in a staggering 4.6 million viewers on average across 28 days on BBC iPlayer and BBC One.

Gladiators series 4 will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2027.
