When is Lorraine back on TV? Here's why Lorraine Kelly is still not on as Loose Women returns
Lorraine hasn't been on air for weeksLorraine is still not on TV despite Loose Women making its big return to ITV today – so when is it back?
Viewers of Lorraine Kelly’s morning staple have been left scratching their heads after she still wasn’t on screens today.
Her continued absence comes as the Loose Women ladies gear up for their big comeback at lunchtime.
So why is ITV bringing the panel show back and not Lorraine?
The good news is, she hasn’t been cancelled and will be back on really soon. Here’s what we know.

Has Lorraine been cancelled?
Lorraine has not been cancelled, but the show has fallen victim to bloodbath cuts at ITV. In January, the broadcaster announced huge changes to the ITV Daytime schedule.
It was confirmed that both Lorraine and lunchtime panel show, Loose Women, will now only air for 30 weeks of the year. As a result, both shows have been in a short hiatus.
Lorraine was last on air on Friday March 6, 2026. Loose Women went off on its break on the same day.

Lorraine has spent a big portion her time off looking after her granddaughter Billie and helping her daughter Rosie plan her upcoming wedding. She has also used the time to grieve her dad, who died at the beginning of the year.
In the meantime, Good Morning Britain has been filling Lorraine’s usual slot. The programme usually runs from 9.30am until 10am, when This Morning then takes over.
But for the last five weeks, GMB has run from 6am until 10am. So when will Lorraine be back?

When is Lorraine back on TV? ITV confirms return date
Loose Women is back on screens first following both shows’ hiatus. The Loose ladies are making their comeback to the panel today (Monday April 27, 2026).
Although she’s not also back today, Lorraine is following really close behind. ITV has said Lorraine Kelly will be back in her studio on Monday May 4, 2026. This means she will have been off air for almost two months.
As usual, the Scottish star’s show will begin at 9.30am and run for 30 minutes. However, it is likely to be pre-recorded given that it is a Bank Holiday Monday.
Confirming the return date, ITV said: “The 2026 BAFTA-nominated Lorraine returns, bringing you a daily dose of showbiz, style and health headlines.”
Just one more week to go. Will you be pleased to see Lorraine back?
