I'm A Celebrity bosses 'sign' boyband stars Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy for Wild Frontier spin-off
We hope they like grizzly bearsI’m A Celebrity: The Wild Frontier bosses ‘have signed’ Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy for the new spin-off, according to reports.
The show is set to be filmed in the Canadian wilderness and the boyband stars are the first names tipped for the line-up.
Like I’m A Celebrity South Africa, I’m A Celebrity: The Wild Frontier will be pre-recorded.

And as filming is due to start soon, bosses are scrambling to sign a cast list of famous faces.
I’m A Celebrity: The Wild Frontier ‘signs’ boyband stars
Westlife star Brian and Keith, who found fame in Boyzone, are both reportedly heading to Canada to take part in the new I’m A Celebrity spin-off. It will be double delight for 90s boyband fans, which bosses are no doubt hoping will pull in the viewers.
Unlike the South Africa all stars series, The Wild Frontier will be a cast of new faces rather than former I’m A Celebrity contestants.
The Sun reports that an exact location for the show is yet to be confirmed but that ITV is looking at Callaghan Valley of Whistler Olympic Park.
The Park was home to the 2010 Winter Olympics and is baltic in the winter. Whistler is also home to grizzly black bears, which can run at speeds of 40mph.
But visitors hoping to spot one are issued with a stark warning.
The official Whistler Olympic Park website states: “If you encounter a bear, stay away!
“Do not approach bears or make direct eye contact. Instead back away slowly preferably in the direction you came, and give the bear space. In most cases, the bear will leave the area.”

As a result, robust safety procedures will be in place to keep the I’m A Celebrity: The Wild Frontier campmates safe.
A source told The Sun: “Bunking up in grizzly bear country will easily make this I’m A Celebrity’s most dangerous setting yet.
“Robust safety measures will be in place – just like in Australia and South Africa – but when grizzlies can easily outrun a human and can crush bones with one bite, it’s high-octane stuff.”
When does I’m A Celebrity: The Wild Frontier start?
I’m A Celebrity: The Wild Frontier is said to be marking the show’s 25th anniversary, which is next year.
The celebrity campmates will reportedly fly out to Canada in the autumn to film the show. This means they will avoid the really cold temperatures. It will then air next year on ITV1.
This is similar to the I’m A Celebrity South Africa format. The 2026 series was filmed in South Africa in September 2025 and aired in April this year. It ran nightly across three weeks before finishing with a live final in London.
ITV bosses introduced the live final to the format so viewers could vote for their I’m A Celebrity Legend. In the 2022 run, the winner was determined by trials and the public did not get a say.
We can’t wait to see who else is brave enough to sign up to The Wild Frontier!
