'In her redemption era!' Gemma Collins hailed by I'm A Celebrity fans as she 'saves the series'

Never underestimate the GC!

I’m a Celebrity South Africa continued tonight (April 7), with Gemma Collins and Craig Charles taking on the Gut Instinct Bushtucker Trial.

The show is back for its second all-stars series. It kicked off on Monday night. But Gemma and Craig were late to the party, much to the dismay of the viewing public, entering as two of the four latecomers on Tuesday.

And they entered the reality show in style tonight… by chomping down on all manner of weird and wonderful delights in the series’ first eating trial!

After declaring that she was entering camp as herself and not her GC persona, Gemma took on Gut Instinct.

And it seems that after lasting just three days last time, Gemma was determined to prove all her doubters wrong.

For the trial, Craig and Gemma had to privately decide how many servings of dishes such as Fish Eye Pie, Terror-rine, Brain Freeze and Bloody Moory Shots they were willing to eat or drink. The player who committed to the highest number of servings then had to consume the entire pledged amount to win a point for their team.

The team with the highest number of points at the end of the game won a slap-up meal. The others were left with basic rations.

‘So happy she’s proving everyone wrong’

“20 minutes into her stint and Gemma has overcome her helicopter fear and bossed an eating trial. Oh this carry job she’s about to do on this series,” said one.

“Obsessed with Gemma wanting to prove herself after last time,” said another. “Gemma going back to pretend to grab extra pieces to force Craig to grab more so he has to eat more! Oh strategic queen,” said a third hailing her poker face.

“Gemma is deffo determined this time,” another agreed. “We love to see Gemma’s redemption arc already,” another added. “Gemma actually doing great at this trial!! GAGGED! Her redemption era begins!” declared another.
