Is Peter leaving EastEnders? Fans fear his exit is ‘inevitable’ as they predict ‘explosive’ scenes ahead

Lauren and Mark reunited earlier this week, with both of them realising they actually couldn’t stay away from each other.
So, with Lauren now embracing the affair, EastEnders fans believe Peter’s time on the show may be up. But they are convinced he won’t go down quietly.
Lauren’s affair scandal
Earlier this week, Lauren was shocked to find Mark back in her life. But when he assured her it was only for 24 hours, they had a one-night stand. However, Mark’s mind was then changed and he decided to stay in Walford after all.
Lauren felt guilty about cheating on her husband, and told him they need more spontaneity in their relationship. But what he took that as, was buy her flowers.
Quickly realising her time with Mark is far more exciting, she finally gave him a reason to stay. Although, she was adamant she would never walk away from her family.
The pair agreed to keep things a secret, and continue behind Peter’s back. But in SoapLand, nothing stays quiet for long.
However, fans are more concerned with the fear that Peter could be leaving EastEnders. Many believe that his character would actually just become a bit irrelevant if he’s not with Lauren.
Is Peter Beale leaving EastEnders?
Taking to Reddit, one fan penned: “So, a Lauren and Peter split seems inevitable at this point. Although first we’ll be treated to an unoriginal affair. But when that time comes, I don’t know who I see Peter with? Or if I even see him in the show at all.”
“I don’t see him with anyone to be honest. He has a lot of stuff he needs to sort out. Maybe some time away after the explosive reveal,” another added.
A third commented: “I’m really not a fan of peters character since they brought the OG actor back. I feel like he can be very condescending, selfish and downright narcissistic at times. It wouldn’t annoy me if he left.”
However, one fan felt Lauren and Peter’s past meant they actually could find their way back together again after the affair reveal.
They penned: “Do we really think their split is inevitable? I know she’s never had a full blown affair before but he’s walked out on her or thrown her out at least 3 times in the last 16 months and somehow they always end up back together. Unfortunately for some bizarre reason, EastEnders seem to think their viewers ship them as couple.”
So, with EastEnders fans fearing for a Peter Beale exit, it’s important to note at this current time there are no reports of Thomas Law leaving his role.
While sometimes soaps try to keep exits on the down-low, with this brand-new storyline just kicking off, it definitely seems like Peter is sticking around!
