Luba Mushtuk confirms Strictly Come Dancing exit in emotional statement: 'It meant the world to me'
Luba was on the show for 10 yearsStrictly Come Dancing has been losing quite a lot of professional dancers over the last few weeks, and now Luba Mushtuk has confirmed her departure.
Over the past month, Strictly has been in the spotlight as a number of cast members have been rumoured to leave the show.
Early reports claimed that Gorka Marquez, Neil Jones and Nancy Xu were all included in the stars to be dropped. One name that also kept appearing was Luba Mushtuk. And now, she has confirmed the news.
Luba Mushtuk confirms Strictly exit
In an Instagram statement today (March 27), Luba confirmed that she will not be returning to the stage.
She wrote: “With a heart full of gratitude, the time has come for me to step away from Strictly Come Dancing.
“I am deeply grateful for the past 10 years on this beautiful show. Thank you for the amazing opportunity and the unforgettable memories. It has truly meant the world to me.

“Now it’s time for me to follow my dreams beyond the show, and I’m excited for what the future holds.”
Luba continued by confirming she will still be attending the professional tour, meaning it’s the last chance for fans to see her on the stage with the Strictly stars.
She concluded: “I can’t wait to see you all on the Pro Tour, and I am really looking forward to it, for one last time.”
Fans and fellow Strictly stars instantly shared their upset over the news.
Kaz Carney penned: “Thank you for always being so kind and supportive to me on the show. It was so great to get to know you and I’m excited for you and your next adventures.”
Gemma Atkinson commented: “Exciting times ahead!”
Strictly share statement of gratitude for Luba
Following Luba Mushtuk’s statement, Strictly Come Dancing also released their own, thanking her for her contribution to the show.
They penned: “A heartfelt thank you to Luba Mushtuk for her outstanding contribution to Strictly Come Dancing.”
The statement added that Luba brought “professionalism, creativity and her quality expertise, year after year.”
“We are incredibly grateful for her dedication to the programme and for always going above and beyond – whether through the care and commitment she showed her celebrity partners, or her warmth and kindness behind the scenes.
“Luba has, and always will be, a much-loved member of the Strictly family. And we wish her every success in the future.”
