MAFS Australia groom Chris has been gathering a lot of public opinion due to his decision to keep his baby news a secret from Sam. However, that all changed tonight.

In a turn of events, Sam and Chris were allowed to watch each others’ audition tapes. And Chris immediately panicked as he knew this would reveal his baby secret.

From his first appearance, the viewers have known that Chris was donating his sperm to his best friend, who was pregnant during filming. On top of this, he was also embarking on a surrogacy journey of his own. But unfortunately, while filming, things took a turn.

Sam finally learns Chris’ baby secret on MAFS Australia

During tonight’s episode (April 7), Chris and Sam were told their next task would be to watch their audition tapes alone. And to see if they liked what they saw. Obviously, in the past, this has caused issues between couples – especially Brook and Chris.

But Chris realised he spoke about welcoming his babies in his tape, and realised this was the moment he had to come clean. It follows quite a lot of public backlash regarding the fact he was even keeping it a secret.

Chris sat Sam down and explained the whole situation to him. And to his happiness and surprise, Sam was totally fine with the whole thing. He even explained that he has friends who have approached him to be a sperm donor one day.

So, while the whole thing went well for the couple, heartbreak actually followed for Chris’ baby journey after the show.

Has Chris welcomed his babies yet?

In an upsetting turn of events, Chris confirmed that while he was filming the show, his surrogate actually lost one of the embryos.

Speaking with Pedestrian.TV, Chris opened up on the loss. He explained: “Unfortunately, whilst I was filming, there was a bit of an issue around my surrogate journey. We had a couple of embryos and the surrogate unfortunately lost one of them. It was a bit of a sad moment.”

Chris admitted it was “so tough” dealing with those emotions, while in such an “intense” environment. However, he confirmed he was “in the process of trying again for a second child”.

But on a happier note, Chris’ best friend, who he had donated sperm to, has since given birth to a baby girl.

Chris confirmed: “I’ve had my daughter and she’s really happy and healthy. So, that’s really good.”
