Former solider Tyson tonight tied the knot tonight with Stephanie Marshall on Married At First Sight and raised eyebrows from the get go.
The property investor has demanded a “submissive wife” and insists she must not bring “masculine energy” to the marriage.
Tyson has also revealed he has been married before. Unsurprisingly, they quickly divorced. But who is his ex-wife, why did they split up and what does she make of him now?

MAFS Australia: Who is Tyson Gordon’s ex-wife?
Tyson was previously married to Tove Thoreson. Tove is a Mormon and lives in Utah in the US.
The couple met when Tyson traveled to the States with his family for a skiing holiday. Tove was working at the resort where they were staying and the pair hit it off.
Tyson and Tove’s relationship was long-distance for two years. They then tied the knot after spending just 30 days with each other in person.

Tove was just 21 when they got married, while Tyson was 25.

Speaking in tonight’s MAFS Australia, Tyson said: “I was married about five or six years ago. I met this girl in Utah, we got married and she came to Australia to live.
“But she was a little bit messy around the house. There’s a few other things. You know, plates in the kitchen sink.
“Basically, it couldn’t work out because after a certain period of time, we couldn’t stand to live with each other. And then we got divorced. And here I am now, still trying to find The One.”
Tove has now spoken out – and she’s not happy.
Tyson’s ex-wife Tove brands their marriage ‘unhealthy’
In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Tove has hit out at Tyson for unexpectedly dragging her into the media glare. She says she has not spoken to her ex for six years and insists they are “not friends”.
Tove has also denied that their marriage ended because she was “messy” around the house. However, she has refused to give the exact reason.
But she did say: “Our relationship ultimately became unhealthy and difficult, which is why it ended. The reasons for that are personal and not something I’m willing to discuss publicly.”
Tyson has made it clear on the show he wants a ‘trad wife’. This is a married woman who embraces 1950s-style gender roles, with the male being the main breadwinner.
Tove, who is now married to someone else, insists she didn’t even know the meaning of a ‘trad wife’ when she married Tyson.
She added: “A lot of people may assume because I am Mormon that Mormon women are like that, but that’s not the case.
“Yes, we are more traditional possibly, but with Mormon women today we are not ‘submissive’ at all.”
