MAFS Australia’s Bec is friends with UK Love Island winner Samie Elishi, it has been revealed.

The unlikely crossover emerged thanks to a picture of herself and Samie on social media.

The girls are ready for a night out in the black and white selfie, with Samie holding up a glass of wine.

Bec had tagged Samie in the 2018 shot and captioned it: “A duck & a beauty.”

Samie, meanwhile, replied with three red heart emojis and wrote: “Love youu!”

Bec wrote back: “Love you more boooooo.”

Interesting or what?!

How does MAFS Australia’s Bec know Love Island’s Samie?

Bec met Samie after moving to the UK more than 10 years ago.

The MAFS Australia star – who is married to British-born Danny Hewitt on the show – decided to leave her home city of Adelaide and start a new life in London in 2015.

While in the capital, Bec began working as a letting agent. Samie also worked for an estate agent before finding fame on Love Island.

It is believed the girls were employed at the same company in London and formed a close bond. Another Instagram picture shows them at a property conference together in 2018.

Bec left the company the following year and touched upon the “best friends” she had made in an Instagram post.

She said at the time: “And just like that… 4 years have passed and it’s onto the next career adventure! KFH thank you for providing me with a London family who will be some of my best friends forever… Over & out.”

It would be some time before both Bec and Samie would swap their office jobs for reality TV, however. S

Samie was first up, with the 2023 series of Love Island. She also won Love Island All Stars this year. Bec has since followed in her footsteps with 2026 MAFS Australia.

‘Didn’t see that coming!’

One eagle-eyed fan has already made the connection between Bec and Samie and shared their surprise on TikTok.

“I just love it when reality TV worlds collide and I just did not see this coming!” she said after also seeing the Instagram photo.

Others were quick to muse that Samie might unfollow Bec, as she “isn’t coming across great” on MAFS Australia.

One commented: “Samie about to remove herself from those tags.” Another added: “Samie loves the unfollow button lol.”

And someone else shared their surprise, joking: “What in the reality tv pyramid scheme?!”

Meanwhile, in tonight’s episode of MAFS Australia, Bec is seen continuing to grill husband Danny over whether he described show rival Gia Fleur as ‘more his type’.

Expect some serious waterworks as the show moves into another Commitment Ceremony of the series.
