Nathan Sussex makes Coronation Street debut
Earlier this year, Coronation Street’s executive producer, Kate Brooks, teased a “massive story” for Tim and Sally. And that all kicks off tonight.
Tim was shocked when he picked his cousin Richie up on a job, as the pair hadn’t spoken in years. But it wasn’t long before Tim was introducing him to his pals, and having a proper lads night in.
However, when Tim and Richie were alone, Richie opened up about his difficulties with his wife. And this led to Tim offering him a place to stay.
Nathan Sussex will be playing the character, and he already has a lot of credentials to his name.
The actor has appeared in It’s A Sin, Casualty, Doctors, and even Doctor Who. But it’s his other soap role that he is known best for.
Who did Nathan Sussex play in Hollyoaks?
Between January 2018 and January 2019, Nathan appeared on Hollyoaks as villain, Buster Smith.
Initially Buster appeared on the show as a trusted football coach. However, things quickly turned dark as he groomed and abused young Ollie Morgan.
The role got Nathan quite a lot of attention. And he even went on to win a British Soap Award for Villain of the Year in 2019.
So, as this storyline is set to get shocking, it seems Nathan is the perfect person.
Richie’s upcoming explosive storyline
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that when Tim heads to visit Richie, he is greeted by a shocking murder scene. Before long, Tim and Sally have taken in Richie’s daughter, Lucy, as he has been charged with murder.
Immediately, Sally and Tim struggle to cope with Lucy, as the teen tries to understand everything that happens.
The storyline is set to test Sally and Tim in many ways. Kate Brooks previously revealed: “It’s a bit of a curveball and it comes from slightly left field. But it absolutely upends their lives. It’s how they navigate that situation going forward.”
