Rivals series 2 has finally landed on Disney+ after a two-year abstinence but, there’s a catch, as the streaming service are making us wait for all the episodes – so when’s the next release date?

The first three instalments of the brilliantly fun series are currently available to watch now. And there’s more good news, as the new run is longer than ever. However, we on a strict Rivals diet, as Disney+ are not letting us binge the series. Greedy Rupert Campbell-Black would not be happy about having to wait!

In episode 1, Tony Baddingham returned – scarred and dangerous – to reignite old rivalries. Cameron and Rupert were having sex in every single part of the house apart from a bed. While Taggie nursed her broken heart…

But will we see Taggie and Rupert actually together in Rivals series 2? Well, we’ll have to watch the whole series to find out. So here’s when the next episodes are coming out on Disney+, how to watch, and the full release schedule of dates.

Howe can I watch Rivals?

Streaming services generally drop series as boxsets these days, so having to wait feels almost alien – like something out of the 80s you might say! Others might find it borderline frustrating. But Disney+ are making us wait for Rivals series 2. Although, we promise you each episode will be worth the wait!

The format for Rivals season 2 is different to its first run in 2024. First of all, it’s a longer series, with 12 episodes instead of 8. A spokesperson for Disney+ told us: “The drama returns with an extended season of 12 episodes – and even more wit, desire, and dramatic twists.”

The first season of the hit Jilly Cooper adaptation debuted in October 2024, with all episodes available to stream at once. This time around, the show is shaking things up with season 2 arriving in two separate six-episode batches.

The first set of episodes landed on Friday, May 15, 2026 with a three-episode premiere. The second batch will follow later in the year on Disney+. You need a subscription to be able to watch on the streaming service.
