Strictly 2026 fans were left unimpressed by the dressing up on tonight’s show (Saturday, October 17).

This week is Icons Week, and the stars, as well as the judges, were certainly dressed for the occasion!

Celebrities dress up for Strictly 2026 Icons Week

Tonight’s edition of the show saw the celebrities dress up as some of the biggest icons in the world of music.

Dani Dyer dressed as Mariah Carey, Jamie Winstone as David Bowie, and John Nellis as Bon Jovi. Will Best dressed as Elton John, and Sarah Storey wowed as Shania Twain.

Graeme Hall also drew a lot of attention for his look as Bjorn from ABBA.

However, it wasn’t just the celebs who dressed up for the occasion – the judges did too!

Motsi Mabuse was made to look like Beyoncé, whilst Shirley Ballas rocked a Lady Gaga look, inspired by her appearance in the Telephone music video.

Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke, meanwhile, left fans in stitches as they turned up on set dressed like Noel and Liam Gallagher.

Strictly 2026 fans criticise Icons Week

Taking to X, fans complained about this week’s theme, with some calling for it to be axed.

“Icons Week is literally just cursed wigs week,” one fan said.

“This is sooooooo cheesy & CRINGE! They’re even referring to them as their “Icons”!! More like Stars in Their Eyes than ever!! We simply do not need this theme week. Hate it,” another complained.

“I am really struggling with #Strictly this year. Too many contestants I don’t know, too many gimmicks and themes,” a third wrote.

“Have I mentioned that I hate Icons Week?” another asked. “Why do the judges have to dress up? It’s not Halloween. Can’t take them seriously like that – sorry, don’t like it,” a fifth moaned.
