Strictly 2026 fans left stunned by Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystal's 'incredible' performance: 'Insane!'

The Strictly duo performed a salsa to Ricky Martin’s La Copa de la Vida, and viewers were stunned – with Jowita’s performance in particular!

Tonight’s show saw Jowita and Lawrence perform a salsa with a LOT of lifts.
Their performance ended with a spectacular lift that saw Jowita jump and get swung around by Lawrence, before landing and spinning to a stop.
Immediately after the routine, the hosts and judges admitted that the move had left them with their hearts in their mouths.
“No more lifts! No more lifts! Stop the lifts!” Josh Widdicombe joked as Lawrence picked Jowita up again after their performance to celebrate.
“Are you okay?” he asked Jowita, who replied with a very enthusiastic “Absolutely!”
Josh revealed that he’d seen Anton with his head in his hands, watching the final “throw”.
“Good luck with that bruise,” he quipped.
They picked up 30 points for their routine, with an eight from Craig!
Fans left stunned by Jowita’s performance
Viewers were left stunned by the routine, in particular Jowita’s performance.
“WOW!! Lawrence and Jowita, absolutely fantastic! What a salsa! And those lifts were incredible,” one viewer tweeted.
“JOWITA YOU ARE INSANE,” another wrote.
“I’m so happy for Lawrence and Jowita. This performance and the lifts were so energetic and incredible, and it was so much fun to watch. Jowita is the salsa queen,” a third said.
“Laurence and Jowita were soooo good this week omg,” another gushed.
“JOWITA PRZYSTAL YOU ARE SUPERWOMAN,” a fifth said.
Fans slam Icons Week
Meanwhile, some fans were left unhappy with this week’s theme, branding it “cheesy” and “cringe”.
The celebrities dressed up as musical icons, as did the judges. John Nellis dressed as Bon Jovi, Sarah Storey wowed as Shania Twain, and Cach Mercher looked very dapper as Frank Sinatra.
The judges also dressed up, with Shirley Ballas dressed as Lady Gaga, Motsi Mabuse as Beyonce, and Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood as the Gallagher brothers.
However, not everyone was enjoying the theme.
“Why do the judges have to dress up? It’s not Halloween. Can’t take them seriously like that – sorry, don’t like it,” one fan moaned.
“This is sooooooo cheesy & CRINGE! They’re even referring to them as their “Icons”!! More like Stars in Their Eyes than ever!! We simply do not need this theme week. Hate it,” another said.
However, some fans were loving it. “If these outfits are anything to go by, this should be a really fun night! Motsi wins hands down!” one said.
