Strictly Come Dancing 2026's Lacey Turner suffers first injuries of the series: 'She's in pain'
Will she make it to Movie Week?Strictly Come Dancing 2026 star Lacey Turner has fallen foul to the first injuries of the series.
The EastEnders actress, 38, is suffering from infected blisters on her feet.
Lacey has been spotted hobbling around near her training studios while wearing big, white dressings on her feet.
Her injuries have also been discussed on Strictly companion show Strictly: It Takes Two.
Strictly Come Dancing: Lacey Turner’s injuries revealed
Lacey – famed for playing Walford’s Stacey Slater – is partnered with Vito Coppola on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. The pair are currently third on the leaderboard following last Saturday’s Week 1 live show.
Lacey and Vito performed a Cha Cha are were awarded a total score of 27 points by judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood.
This week, they will join the other couples as they all perform film-themed dances for Movie Week. But Lacey could be in trouble.
On Monday (September 28), Lacey was spotted in a pair of flip flops as she arrived at rehearsals. There were visible white dressings on her feet.
Abi Clarke and Tyler West, who are hosting Strictly: Lights Up on BBC iPlayer this year, have since revealed why.
The pair appeared on Strictly: It Takes Two last night to give their thoughts on the couples’ Week 1 performances.
But when it got to Lacey and Vito, Tyler said: “I’m worried about her toes.”
Abi added: “I only learned today that she’s got infected blisters. She’s in pain.”
Ellie looked shocked, as she replied: “Oh god!”
‘The pain will pay off’
Lacey first revealed her bloodied toes on Instagram just days before news broke of her infected blisters. Last Friday, Vito shared a video of himself and Lacey sitting on the floor of the rehearsal room.
Lacey let out a yelp, prompting Vito to ask: “What’s up with your blisters?” She pointed to the red, sore patches on her toes before showing him more painful red marks on the backs of her heels.
“Oooh, nice,” Vito exclaimed. He added: “It’s going to pay off, it’s going to pay off. All the pain is going to pay off. I promise.”
Vito then told Lacey she is ‘transforming herself into a dancer’. He posted the clip on Instagram along with an emoji of a sticking plaster.
Viewers watching on Saturday night never would have known that Lacey was in pain. But can she hide it this weekend if an infection has now affected her feet?
