Dani performed her first dance with Nikita Kuzmin during last night’s show (Saturday, September 26), which saw them pick up 22 points.
Dani Dyer makes her live Strictly debut
After being forced off the show last year through injury, Dani finally made her live show debut last night.
The former Love Island star, 30, who has been paired up with Nikita again, did her first live dance during yesterday’s show.
The dance in question was a samba to Zara Larsson’s hit song, “Lush Life”.
The duo picked up 22 points for the routine, receiving a score of six from Craig, five from Motsi Mabuse, five from Shirley Ballas, and six from Anton Du Beke.
Discussing their dance, Craig said: “Your feet turned out really did bother me all the way through.”
His criticism drew booes from the audience, including Dani’s dad, ex-EastEnders star Danny.
The camera cut to the actor, who appeared to mouth a rude word at the judge!
Fans in stitches
Viewers were quick to pick up on the moment, and took to X to laugh about it.
“Not the BBC Cameraman catching Danny Dyer calling Craig a [bleep],” one fan tweeted.
“Did I just see Danny Dyer in the audience mouthing to Craig ‘Shut it, you [bleep]!’?????!!!…” another wrote.
“Did Danny Dyer just call Craig a [bleep]?!” a third asked.
“Danny Dyer definitely called Craig a [bleep],” another added.
However, despite Craig’s initial criticism, he did describe Dani and Nikita’s performance as “great”.
The leaderboard after week one
Dani and Nikita ended the night in sixth place on the leaderboard, thanks to their 22 points.
Katya Jones and her partner, football content creator John Nellis, topped the leaderboard with 31 points. They performed a foxtrot to “Ordinary” by Alex Warren.
Meanwhile, Melanie Walters and Aljaz Skorjanec, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr, and Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon all languished at the other end of the leaderboard with just 15 points.
