The truth about why Brook wasn't at the MAFS Australia reunion dinner party tonight after her reason for skipping it turned out to be a lie

Brook Crompton was one of the biggest troublemakers in this year’s MAFS Australia, but she wasn’t at tonight’s reunion dinner party to stir the pot.

The model made quite a name for herself in just a few short weeks of being on the show, so fans wondered if she’d turn up for another round of drama.

Brook’s best friend and sidekick Gia Fleur had a place at the table and she was raring to go.

But where was Brook to revel in all the ‘gossip’ about Danny Hewitt and Stephanie Marshall?

Why Brook wasn’t at the MAFS Australia reunion dinner party

Brook was one of this series’ original brides. She said “I do” with Chris Nield on the E4 show, but her time is remembered for something else entirely.

Brook, Gia and Bec Zacharia were all at the centre of that dinner party, taking aim at Stella xx and Alissa Fay. The experts were so shocked by their vile behaviour and choice of words that they were all taken to task once back on the commitment ceremony couch.

But while Gia and Bec apologised, Brook took the easy way out. After calling time on her short-lived marriage to Chris, she went to the toilet, never to be seen again.

When asked to give a reason for her absence at tonight’s MAFS Australia reunion dinner party, Brook initially claimed she was ‘busy’.

“It was a close friend’s 30th and I didn’t want to miss it,” Brook told Australia’s Pedestrian. “I had about four producers call and beg, trying to get me there, even saying they hadn’t invited Chris.

“But honestly, I just couldn’t be bothered with the drama as well.”

Brook was lying though. She had a much bigger reason to blame for her reunion no show.

MAFS Australia’s Brook is pregnant but where is Chris?

The real reason Brook wasn’t at the MAFS Australia reunion dinner party is because she is pregnant. She had just found out she was expecting her first child with her fiancé Harry.

We understand if you’re wondering what on earth is going on here, as we were confused too!

Brook had been in a relationship with Harry before marrying Chris on Married At First Sight Australia. Once she quit the show, the pair got back together.

The cameras continued to roll with all the other couples in Australia and, during that time, Harry proposed.

Filming wrapped in October, with the reunion dinner party taking place in November. But by this point, Brook had fallen pregnant. She turned down the request to return for it.

Brook has since said: “In the lead-up, I was contacted multiple times by producers via email and phone, encouraging me to attend.

“However, at that point i my life, I had just found out that Harry and I were expecting our first child. Given everything I had experienced, I made the decision that returning to that environment was not in my best interest.”

Brook isn’t far off from her due date now. She and Harry are expecting a baby boy, celebrating with a special baby shower-style brunch three weeks ago.

And Chris? He claimed to Daily Mail Australia that he wasn’t invited back because he is a “pain in the arse”.

“They made the right decision,” Chris said. “I was a pain in the arse!”
