It looks wild!Trading Places is coming to Channel 5, and based on the initial information about the show, it sounds absolutely wild – but what is it about? And who is on the show?
Channel 5 is premiering a brand-new TV show that will see a group of Gen-Z’s thrown out of their comfort zone, trying to see how each of them survive.
But what exactly is the show about? And when does it air? Let’s have a look at everything we know so far.

Trading Places on Channel 5: How does it work?
Channel 5 has shared a series of video clips from Trading Places, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.
The broadcaster penned: “These young Brits are about to have a big culture shock. Three Gen Z shopaholics will move to an off-grid, hippy-inspired eco farm.
“Three teens who hated school are sent to a prestigious college. Three party animals swap the club for the cloister as they join a Monastry. And three pampered Brits will face hard graft as cattle hands in the Wild West ranch.”
The show aims to pose the question – how will they all react when they are thrown out of their comfort zones?

Who is in the show and how many episodes are there?
While Channel 5 haven’t revealed details about each participant, they are believed to be in their teens and early 20’s. And more details will be revealed as time goes on.
However, unfortunately for fans, there will be only four episodes of Trading Places on Channel 5. But each episode will follow a different group of people.
According to TV Zone, the episodes are jam-packed with action. In the first episode, the three image-obsessed participants will move to an off-grid hippy community that rejects “all forms of consumerism”.
The youngsters involved in episode one, include; 26-year-old Saffron from Essex, who earns her living as a Sugar Baby. 20-year-old Umar from Derby, who relies on his dad to fund his shopping addiction is also in the episode. And finally, 22-year-old Birdie, a TikTok fashion influencer from Salford.
Episode two then follows a group of 18-year-olds who have given up on education. They are immersed in one of the most elite private boarding schools in Britain.
The third episode follows the group of partygoers who could spend £800 on a night out. They learn the calmness of religious brotherhood, dedicated to serving devotion to the Lord.
Then finally, the fourth episode follows young Brits who are put to the test as cowboys and cowgirls on a ranch, forced to learn about selfless teamwork.
