Traitors winner Stephen Libby accuses Richard E Grant and Maya Jama of making a 'big mistake' in Celebrity Traitors
Stephen thinks the pair of Traitors have messed upTraitors winner Stephen Libby is convinced Richard E Grant and Maya Jama made a “big mistake” in last night’s Celebrity Traitors.
The pair were told by Claudia Winkleman to choose two Faithful to bring into the chapel in the dead of night.
Both would have to make their case to Richard and Maya to become their third Traitor.
Whoever they didn’t choose will be the first in the series to be murdered.
Richard and Maya picked journalist Amol Rajan and actor James Acaster to meet them in the chapel.
Fans are now on tenterhooks as they wait to find out which one is the new Traitor and who has left the game, thanks to the credits rolling before it was revealed.
But Stephen, who won this year’s series of The Traitors with Rachel Duffy, thinks they have seriously messed up.
Stephen Libby slams Celebrity Traitors’ Richard and Maya for ‘big mistake’
Stephen appeared alongside his co-star Rachel on the first episode of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked last night.
He didn’t hold back when asked his thoughts on Richard and Maya’s picks by host Ed Gamble.
Stephen bluntly said: “I wouldn’t have chosen either of them. I think they’ve made a big mistake.
“I think both of them, whoever is murdered, points straight to Richard. It does.”
Stephen believes the pair should have chosen EastEnders star Ross Kemp, due to his obvious paranoia in Ardross Castle already.
Ross accused actress Bella Ramsey of attempting to murder him in plain sight by placing a hat on his head. He then accused Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock of doing the same when she rubbed his shoulder.
Currently, Richard is the only Traitor under suspicion after blurting out he is a Traitor within five minutes of being picked.
“Ross was accusing everyone under the sun,” Stephen said. “If someone sniffed, he was like, ‘Did you just murder me by sniffing in my direction?’
“If you murdered Ross, then I think it would be the best way to get the heat off Richard. They would think, ‘Oh, was it Leigh-Anne trying to save herself, could it be Bella trying to save themself?’
“It would get people going in all directions.”
Celebrity Traitors’ Cat Burns issues warning to Maya Jama
Singer Cat Burns, who appeared on series 1 of Celebrity Traitors, was “100 percent” in agreement. Cat was also a Traitor in her series and appeared on last night’s Uncloaked.
She said: “I think Maya is being really sweet in wanting to help and look after Richard and save him. But I think she is thinking one day ahead rather than a bigger picture and bigger plan.
“I would have thought, ‘Let me pick somebody who I’m happy to murder and let me pick somebody that I would want to join us’.”
Cat said she would have brought in comedian Romesh Ranganathan, adding: “And then get rid of someone who hasn’t been saying anything about Richard. And see how it works out.
“Richard, bless his heart, isn’t going to last long. He’s just having fun. Maya should have thought a few steps ahead.”
