Linda Robson explains why she has not been on Loose Women as she reveals frightening health ordeal

Linda, 68, has revealed she spent 10 days in intensive care earlier this year following a major operation.
The Birds of a Feather star said she ‘thought she was going to die’ as medics battled to save her life.
Thankfully, Linda – who has not been on Loose Women since early February – has now made a full recovery
It had been feared she’d fallen victim to huge cuts at ITV Daytime, but this explains her absence.
Why is Linda Robson not on Loose Women?
Loose Women went off air for six weeks this spring in keeping with ITV’s huge schedule changes.
But when the show returned in late April, viewers became questioning whether Linda had left the show.
The lunchtime programme announced its long-awaited return with a gallery of the show’s panelists online. Linda was absent.
The actress now set the record on why she hasn’t been on Loose Women for several months.
In an interview with The Sun, Linda has explained how she had major surgery earlier this year. She says doctors found “two tumours” in an “awkward place” so removed most of her pancreas.
Linda received treatment in intensive care for 10 days and feared her time was up.
She told the newspaper: “I was petrified in intensive care. I thought I was going to die.
“I had to have most of my pancreas removed because there were two tumours in a difficult position.” She had to have a brain scan too.
Linda, who has three children and two granddaughters, credits her family for keeping her spirits up.
Explaining her Loose Women absence, she admits she had to “take a back seat for a while”. But thankfully, now fully recovered, she is looking forward to enjoying life again.
Linda Robson’s future on Loose Women
Before she fell ill, Linda was asked about her future on Loose Women. It came following the news that the ITV lunchtime show would only be airing for 30 weeks throughout the year amid cutbacks.
Linda, who has been a regular panelist since 2012, was asked at the time if she would be returning.

“We have to wait and find out,” she told The Mirror. “My first job was in a fish and chip shop so I might have to go back to the fish and chip shop!”
However, Loose Women insiders previously confirmed that Linda had not been axed and said she would be returning.
A show source told us in April: “Linda hasn’t been dropped from the show. She has been taking some time away and hopes to return soon.”
Loose Women fans will be thrilled to have her back!
