Shona tracks down her dad in Coronation Street

In Coronation Street spoilers for next week, Shona manages to track down her and Jodie’s dad despite Jodie’s efforts to prevent this from happening.

Shona’s curiosity finally gets the better of her and sends her down a path she never expected. Trailing Jodie, she finds herself at a psychiatric hospital and face to face with a blast from the past – their estranged father, fragile, confused and far from the villain Shona had imagined. Any suspicion she’d been carrying is quickly knocked sideways.

With emotions running high, Jodie opens up about the weight she’s been carrying for years, explaining how their mother walked away and left her to care for their dad alone. The confession hits hard, leaving Shona equal parts stunned and moved.

What starts as a confrontation turns into a moment of understanding. Shona’s defences crumble, empathy kicks in, and she realises Jodie hasn’t been spinning stories after all. Comfort replaces conflict as Shona reassures her sister that she’s no longer on her own.

But, as bonds are strengthened, can Shona truly trust Jodie?
