Elsewhere, Liz also returns following a short break and finds herself in an embarrassing situation. These episodes originally aired on July 8 and 9, 2007. Carla and Liam clash It’s Sunday and Carla forces the girls to work overtime. Liam arrives back having cleared his head and he is ready to get back to work. The factory girls are delighted to see Liam again, but he’s confused to find Carla running Underworld. Liam and Carla have a row in the factory. Liam then orders the girls to stop work, while Carla insists they must finish the order. Liam’s not happy, but they reach an uneasy understanding, realising they need each other. Liz is stuck outside wearing very little! But Derek meets Liz at the coach station and persuades her to come back to the flat with him. Liz tries to object but they soon end up in bed. Liz sends Vernon a text saying she’s stuck in traffic. Derek’s wife Linda unexpectedly arrives at the flat and tries to unlock the door. Liz panics and Derek forces her to hide on the balcony even though she’s half naked. Leanne is working flat out Leanne’s working hard as she tries to get the restaurant ready for the big opening. But there is a problem with the central heating – she can’t turn it off and the place is like an oven. She calls Janice to see if Roger can fix it, while she carries on planning the big opening night party. Tony and Luigi warn her that she’s spending too much money on it but Leanne refuses to listen. Eileen continues the affair Eileen’s enjoyed her night with Pat and wonders if she should carry on seeing him, even though he is married. Steve sees Pat leaving No.11 and looks on disapprovingly, having previously seen Pat with his wife. Molly is frustrated Tyrone and Molly continue to wait hand and foot on Jack and Vera. They build Jack a makeshift wheelchair so he can get to the Rovers on his own. Molly tries to suggest to Tyrone that they should start house-hunting again but Tyrone’s adamant they can’t leave incapacitated Jack and Vera. Molly feels frustrated that her life is at a standstill. Elsewhere in Classic Coronation Street Holidays are in the air as Steve and Amy leave for two weeks in Spain to visit Andy, while Jason, Sarah and Bethany arrive back from Greece. They tell Gail they’re planning to get married, but she’s not happy with the news. Elsewhere, Rosie announces she’s going to get a summer job over the holidays.
