This week on screen, there was a huge murder on the cobbles. Quite the dramatic moment. Beyond this week, we’re looking forward to the new few months of exciting Corrie drama. Here’s what’s to come on the cobbles. Jodie’s a real mystery (Credit: ITV) 1. Shona’s sister Jodie Jodie Ramsey is quite the mystery but there’s no denying that she knows some pretty dodgy people. With Jodie having just recently tried to lure David into bed and wanting to get revenge on Shona, she’ll stop at nothing. Maggie vs Melanie Will’s mum Melanie has rocked up and has immediately clashed with Maggie. She knows all about Maggie’s murderous past and what really happened to her husband. If Maggie doesn’t convince Will to move to Scotland with Melanie, well, her secret might come out.Don't miss a single story! Bernie’s grief Bernie’s buried a lot of grief under the surface over the years, and now it’s all set to come rising to the top in a new storyline involving Roy Cropper. Dealing with the death of son-in-law Billy, Bernie’s now turned to drink and drugs with stranger Mal which threatens to ‘test’ her and Dev’s marriage. Kate shared: “She’s buried a lot of grief. “So we wanted to kind of explore what would happen if she had to deal with another death, another really tragic death, and how that grief manifests.” Cassie is leaving this summer (Credit: ITV) 4. Cassie’s exit Cassie Plummer will be leaving the Street as actress Claire Sweeney joins the UK tour of Annie the Musical, in the role of Miss Hannigan. A Coronation Street spokesperson told The Sun: “We wish Claire every success playing Miss Hannigan and congratulate her on being offered a role she has long wanted to play. “Cassie will be on the cobbles until the summer during which time she will continue to make her presence felt in Weatherfield leading up to a great exit storyline.” But, what will Cassie’s ‘explosive’ storyline be? Eva and Ben were amongst the characters filming the scenes (Credit: ITV) 5. Shock court scenes Many Coronation Street stars have been spotted filming shock court scenes. What’s happening in court is currently a mystery. But, the only real thing that connected all the characters who were filming was Megan. So, could this finally be her facing justice? Some fans noticed that the character of Maggie wasn’t alongside the others. They feared this confirmed she was going to be the mystery death. However, some other fans predicted that the reason she – or Megan – weren’t seen was because they think it’s Maggie’s trial, and she had just killed Megan. 6. Trauma for Betsy After finding a dead body on the cobbles on the night of April 23, Betsy Swain’s traumatised by the whole event. She’s also preparing for a ‘coming of age’ storyline involving Dylan Wilson, and she’ll turn brunette too! We wonder what’s in store for the character?! 7. A murder investigation After the big murder week death, a huge murder investigation takes over the Street as Lisa and Kit work hard to track down the killer. But, will they be bang on the money?
