He insisted the blood on his jumper came from his earlier altercation with Theo – an incident he and Todd had already reported to Kit. George went on to explain that he’d spent part of the evening at the Rovers with Christina and Summer, even seeing Todd off in a taxi. When Todd later called for help, George claimed he stayed home while Christina went out. However, he admitted he’d taken a walk later to clear his head after everything that had happened that day. The pressure builds further when officers head over to the builder’s yard, taking a closer look at anything that could be linked to the case… including those key scaffolding poles. And just when Gary might’ve hoped the heat was easing, it’s quite the opposite. With deleted CCTV footage unable to be recovered, Lisa admits the investigation has hit a setback. But Kit makes it clear he’s not backing down, openly signalling on the Street that Gary is still very much his number one suspect. Over at the Rovers, Todd struggles to keep his emotions in check, glaring across the room at Kit and Lisa. It doesn’t go unnoticed either – Lisa picks up on the atmosphere straight away, but takes it as a sign that Todd’s feeling the pressure of guilt rather than pure frustration.
