Classic Coronation Street spoilers for Dec 1-5: Cilla's saying goodbye, Todd's coming home, and Sarah's wedding plans have fallen apart

Is Sarah and Jason's marriage doomed even before the wedding day?

In Classic Coronation Street spoilers for ITV3 this week (December 1st – 5th), Cilla’s plans are forced to change when Frank dies suddenly. But it’s not long before she’s packing her bags!

Meanwhile, David’s meddling in Sarah’s wedding plans leads to a surprising family reunion. And there’s disaster before the big day, too!

And it seems Paul’s in over his head when some heavies arrive at the restaurant looking for him.

Cilla’s in the money!

Cilla thinks her luck’s in when Frank asks her to move in with him and look after him. In return he tells her he’ll leave her everything in his will.

But before she gets a chance to accept his offer, to her horror Cilla discovers Frank has died in his chair.

Later, Cilla gets a call from Frank’s solicitors. Kirk wonders if Cilla murdered Frank! But he is delighted when Cilla reckons that Frank must have already changed his will and is leaving everything to her.

Cilla starts telling everyone she’s coming into money, as she heads to the solicitor to hear the news. But she’s shocked to hear Frank’s only left her £500. Fed up, Cilla decides to sell some things including the necklace that Frank gave her. She’s shocked and delighted to discover it’s worth £45,000!

And she’s saying goodbye to Weatherfield!

Splashing the cash, Cilla decides she’s going to go and live in Las Vegas. She’s brought back to reality with a bump when Kirk mentions taking Chesney with her! Cilla wants to go alone.

Cilla gives Kirk £1,000 each to pass on to Chesney and Fiz. She tells Chesney that she’ll send for him when she is settled in Vegas, but he knows she won’t.

As a farewell present, Cilla buys everyone a drinks in the Rovers but her send-off is interrupted by an angry Fiz who storms into the Rovers to give her some home truths!

Fuming, Cilla strops out and takes the money she was leaving for Fiz. As Cilla leaves, she is upset to leave Chesney but she tells herself Chesney will be better off without her. Kirk comforts Chesney.

Carla and Liam try to resist temptation in Classic Coronation Street

Carla and Liam are trying very hard to pretend that nothing happened between them. But the atmosphere is sizzling and it’s obvious they both secretly want more. When Liam walks into the office as Carla’s changing her top, the chemistry is clear.

But still in denial, the pair head out on dates with other people. Carla has a date with Tony while Liam goes out with Maria. Liam takes Maria back to his house and Carla takes Tony back to her flat.

Later, Rosie’s trying to flirt with Liam, but he’s distracted spying on Carla and Tony.

David’s destroying everything!

David is trying to win back Gail’s approval. The mum and son go out for dinner and it’s a big success. But when David asks when he can move back home, he’s shocked when Gail says he can’t! She says that though she loves him, it won’t be possible as he’s hurt too many people. David is upset.

Later, he’s upset when he spots his family getting together. In true David style, he stands on the pavement, staring at his family through the window. Sarah’s unnerved and insists that Jason draws the curtains so she can’t see her brother! As Sarah and Jason discuss their wedding plans, Gail goes outside to talk to David.

But when Gail brings David into the house, Sarah’s fuming. Gail explains they’re discussing wedding plans and Sarah bluntly tells David he’s not invited.

David is hurt and vows that if he’s not invited he’ll make sure the wedding doesn’t happen at all. David spots Sarah’s wedding invitations and Jason’s address book and starts to form a plan. He sends Todd an invitation!

Later, Todd contacts Eileen and tells her he’s been invited to the wedding. Jason’s not happy about it, and he’s dreading telling Sarah.

But when he tracks down his fiancee he finds her in tears. She can’t get hold of Candice who’s supposed to be her matron of honour. Seeing her upset, Jason wimps out of telling her about Todd!

Todd’s back! And the wedding’s doomed!

Todd arrives home and though Eileen’s pleased to see him, Jason is definitely not! He tells his brother the invitation was a mistake and he reckons David’s behind it.

But there’s another shock in store when Sarah gets a call from the hotel to say the wedding has been double-booked. She’s shocked to find Todd at the house.

Sarah is absolutely furious to see Todd and she blames Jason for inviting Todd until Jason explains he thinks David was behind it.

As Gail, Eileen, Sarah, Jason and Todd row on the street, David appears out of the salon to ask if everything’s okay. Gail stops Sarah from slapping him!

Later, the lads all head off on the stag night, where Jason and Todd make up.

Meanwhile, at home, Sarah’s trying on her wedding dress for Gail and Eileen, to see if it needs any last-minute tweaks.

But from outside, David continues to wind his sister up. Sarah’s fed up with it, and heads outside to confront him.

Not wanting more street brawling in front of the neighbours, Gail pulls Sarah back and rips her wedding dress!

Sarah’s distraught and phones Jason in a tizz. He rushes back from his stag party. But when Jason and Todd walk into the house, Sarah explodes! Her dress is ruined and  now Jason’s seen her in it before the wedding.

Sean’s feeling guilty

Sean’s pleased when Marcus pops into the pub to see him. He even tells Violet he thinks Marcus could be ‘the one.’

But when Violet’s working in the Rovers later, when she suddenly feels hot and dizzy. Worried, Jamie takes her to hospital. She’s given the all-clear but loved-up Sean feels guilty for not being there.

Leanne’s in trouble with Roger

There’s a bit of tension between Leanne and Roger when he asks her when she will be repaying his loan. Later, when he and Janice are having a meal in Valandro’s for a meal, Leanne asks him to look at the gents’ toilets as they are overflowing. Roger is not pleased!

And Paul’s in trouble with Molly!

It seems Paul’s got himself in trouble when two men come into the restaurant and he scarpers as soon as he sees them!

The men tell Leanne that Paul owes them money because he stole from their restaurant and they demand to know where he lives or they’ll take it from Leanne!

Worried Leanne tries to get hold of Paul to warn him. The men arrive at No.9 where Paul tells Tyrone not to answer the door and he begs his enemy to help him. After checking that the coast is clear, Paul legs it out of the back door.

But with no joy from Paul, the thugs go back to the restaurant and take money and equipment to cover Paul’s debt, leaving Leanne angry.

And he’s got Molly to deal with, too! She shouts at Paul and tells him that Jack and Vera won’t be happy when they find out that he’s a thief. Then she punches him!

Backed into a corner, desperate Paul borrows more money from the bank in his grandad’s name.
