In today’s episode (Wednesday, October 8), Abi and Carl’s affair was finally out in the open – and it was all Abi’s fault. Abi sent a text message to Carl but accidentally mixed his number up with Kevin’s, causing a very awkward situation. Kevin wasn’t meant to read that message (Credit: ITV) Coronation Street: Abi and Carl’s affair exposed Today, the Websters and Baileys gathered in the Bistro for Ronnie Bailey’s birthday meal. Tensions were high between Debbie and Abi as she continued to keep the affair a secret from Kevin. Carl deleted it from Kevin’s phone but he didn’t realise that the message had also gone through to another device. Kevin soon discovered the message and confronted Abi and Carl over their affair. Chaos erupted at the Bistro as Ronnie’s special birthday cronut hit the ground as an unfortunate victim of the family dispute. James Bailey also confronted Carl over getting him caught up in his mess. At the end of the episode, Abi took Alfie to Carl’s hotel room and made him reassure her that he wanted to be with her forever. Carl was a little bit on edge and didn’t give a sense that he would fulfil his promises. With Kevin wanting to see Alfie, Abi asks him to look after him for a bit. However, when Kev gets really upset and angry, Abi realises that he’s in no fit state to look after her son. She then tells Kev that he can look after him another day instead. Once he’s away from Abi, Kevin breaks down in tears on the Street. Can he save his family in any way?
