Yes, we’ll soon be given an update into how Lou’s been getting on behind those prison bars. And, while this reappearance might be brief, a permanent future return shouldn’t be ruled out. The Sun has reported that Farrel Hegarty will be making a brief comeback to Coronation Street in the coming weeks. Article Continues Below Read all the latest Spoilers The last viewers heard of Lou was that she had ‘seen’ the Christmas banner the kids had made her through the prison window, calling them to wish them a good day. She’s currently working through the four year sentence she was given for attacking Gary Windass, but a source told the publication: “Farrel is loved by bosses – she turned what could’ve been a one dimensional villain into a Corrie classic. “Bringing her back was a no brainer. There’s potential for her to be back full-time down the line too.” There’s hope for Lou yet (Credit: ITV) Here’s when Lou Michaelis will return to Coronation Street Viewers don’t have long to wait until they see Lou again, with Farrel having already filmed the scenes. Lou’s scenes are due to air next month (February.) Although, the circumstances in which she returns are yet to be revealed. Currently on the Street, Lou’s children Brody, Joanie and Shanice are being looked after by foster parents Sally and Tim Metcalfe. However, this hasn’t been plain-sailing as the kids have missed Lou. Joanie even accused Sally of trying to ‘replace’ their mum. With Joanie lashing out at Christmas, the couple have been trying hard to turn things around. And, at the moment, it seems to be working. Although, the change in dynamic has now put a huge amount of pressure on Sally and Tim’s marriage. But, will Lou’s return to the soap change any of this?
