Baby Connie turns life upside down Over at Carla and Lisa’s, the household is learning the hard way that babies don’t do lie-ins. After another early-morning wake-up call from little baby Connie, bleary-eyed Carla, Lisa, Betsy and Ryan begin to realise this might not be a short-term arrangement after all. With exhaustion setting in and routines flipped on their head, will Carla embrace this unexpected family setup, or decide she’s had enough? Lou’s beaten up as Debbie buckles under pressure Debbie’s already fraying nerves snap even further when she heads to Lou’s cell and is met with a shocking sight. Lou has clearly been on the receiving end of a brutal encounter with Paula, leaving Debbie shaken to her core. When Sally, Brody and the girls arrive for a visit, their horror mirrors Debbie’s – this is no minor scuffle, and the prison atmosphere is turning toxic fast. But if that wasn’t enough emotional chaos, Debbie’s next visitor delivers an even sharper blow. Carl turns on the charm, spinning a sob story that tugs hard at her heartstrings. Despite everything she’s already sacrificed, Debbie caves and agrees to hand over yet more cash. Sally overhears the exchange and wastes no time delivering a blunt reality check – Carl is rinsing her dry. Debbie fiercely defends him, but once she’s alone, doubt creeps in. Trapped in her cell with her thoughts, Debbie begins to question whether her loyalty to Carl is costing her far more than money. Cassie’s proposal plans cause a stir As Steve and Cassie sit down with Ben to discuss Jim’s funeral plans, emotions are running high – but Steve remains completely oblivious to what almost happened before tragedy struck. Adam vs the Platts Adam’s day goes from bad to worse when he steps straight into a pile of dog muck and spots Jodie disappearing with David the dog. Ready to explode, he rounds on her – only for Shona, distracted by Harper’s upcoming operation, to shut him down sharpish. Annie causes more trouble for George (Credit: ITV) 5. Annie’s still a problem for George Christina ups the ante by reporting Annie to the police for defamation, but the tables turn when George is hauled in for questioning over Annie’s fraud claims, leaving him fearing the worst.
