A gunshot sounds What started as a furious row threatens to end in catastrophe when Kevin, Carl, Ronnie and Tyrone find themselves caught in a terrifying stand-off. With Carl’s gun now out in the open, the atmosphere becomes increasingly tense. Ronnie attempts to keep a lid on the situation, insisting that nobody leaves until the mess is sorted once and for all. Convinced the gun is nothing more than a prop, he boldly grabs it and points it straight back at Carl. Ronnie is horrified. Luckily for him, help arrives from an unlikely group of guardian angels. Debbie, Sally, Bernie, Glenda and Christina stumble across the drama and quickly spring into action. The women waste no time stepping in, sending the troublemakers packing and rescuing a grateful Brody from an unpleasant situation. Meanwhile, another crisis is unfolding back at the Rovers. 3. Dev and Tim fear the worst Dev and Tim are becoming increasingly anxious after hearing absolutely nothing from their wives. Texts have gone unanswered, calls are being ignored and neither man has the faintest idea where their partners have disappeared to. As panic starts to set in, the pair begin fearing something has gone seriously wrong. Todd drops a bombshell on Sarah Sarah gets an uncomfortable surprise when Todd decides to share a piece of gossip that’s guaranteed to cause trouble. He reveals that Maria is convinced she and Gary are having an affair. Suddenly finding herself under the spotlight, Sarah is left wondering how much longer the situation can stay under wraps. Will she finally tell the truth? 5. Maria demands answers from Gary While Sarah deals with Todd’s revelation, Maria is taking matters into her own hands. Looking troubled, she approaches Gary and makes it clear they need to have a serious conversation. Although caught off guard, Gary does his best to hide his nerves and suggests they discuss things over a curry later. Whether that dinner leads to honesty, arguments or more unanswered questions remains to be seen. Nick clashes with Ben (Credit: ITV) 6. Nick reaches breaking point over Sam Elsewhere, Nick is left devastated as he comes to terms with the extent of Sam’s suffering. The reality of what his son has been going through hits him hard, leaving him struggling to contain his emotions. Unable to hold back his anger, Nick turns on Ben and accuses him of failing to uncover Megan’s actions sooner. In Nick’s eyes, that delay only caused Sam even more pain. It’s a heartbreaking moment for the family as Nick faces just how much his son has been affected. Kit has big plans (Credit: ITV) 7. Kit’s big secret leaves Bethany stunned Could wedding bells be ringing in Weatherfield? Kit confides in Bethany that he’s seriously considering taking the next step with Sarah and asking her to marry him. It’s a huge admission and one that could have major consequences depending on how Sarah feels. Adding to the emotional week, Harry admits that he enjoys having Kit around. Clearly touched, Kit assures him the feeling is mutual, showing just how important their growing bond has become. 8. Betsy faces a dream opportunity For Betsy, exciting news arrives in the form of a place at the London College of Fashion. It’s exactly the kind of opportunity she has been hoping for, but there’s one major complication. Leaving Weatherfield could mean leaving Dylan behind. As she weighs up her future, Betsy admits she still hasn’t even told her mum about the offer. Will she follow her dream, or will matters of the heart keep her closer to home?
