Zoe had claimed that she’d given birth to Dennis’s children, thereby securing a shocked Sharon’s funding. Zoe’s behaviour gave Kat cause for doubt though, and she pressed her daughter for the truth after witnessing her lie to the Private Investigator she’d just hired. It was then that Zoe admitted she’d been lying about Dennis. But who is Zoe’s babydaddy? If not Dennis (and we never believed that one in the first place), then there’s only one candidate who makes sense. Here’s all the ‘signs’ that Anthony is the father of Zoe’s children. Anthony has been at something of a loose end since returning to Walford for his dad’s wedding. Sure, he’s been on hand to help with the Square’s all-too-frequent medical emergencies, but there’s no real reason for the writers to be keeping him around. No other reason why they’re keeping him hanging around,” wrote one fan on X. “Only reason I can think they’re keeping Anthony is bcus [sic] Jasmine is his and Zoe’s kid bcus why is he just there?” said a third. This referred to another fan theory – regarding to newcomer Jasmine. “Why is Anthony still around, must be connected to Zoe’s kids,” a third agreed. Clearly, he still has some unresolved feelings for his ex. Feelings which Zoe, for all her stand-offishness, might well share. “Yeah we saw him looking at Zoe suspiciously in Monday’s episode which left me curious. We also know that he tried to kiss Zoe recently so he does still care about her,” pointed out one viewer on X. Just imagine Anthony’s reaction, should he learn that she once bore his children! This spurred her to try and leave again – although Kat (and a bullet from Ravi and Jack) soon convinced her to stay. And it was Anthony who tended to Zoe’s wounds as she lay bleeding out, putting into motion an awkward reunion. Zoe’s behaviour toward Anthony has some convinced that she’s hiding something from him. “The way Zoe reacted when she saw Anthony Truman treating her on the floor at The Vic says to me he’s the father,” wrote one viewer at the time. Zoe gave birth in 2006 (Credit: BBC) The timeline’s right While Anthony and Zoe broke up well before 2006, they could very well have reconnected off-screen over the years, resulting in her pregnancy. Furthermore, the timelines for Den and Dennis just don’t make sense. Zoe had Den’s baby aborted in early 2005, so the twins’ birth date of 2006 simply wouldn’t add up. Meanwhile, Dennis famously refused to touch Zoe during her fake pregnancy at the same time, so it’s unlikely they were subsequently intimate enough for her to get pregnant. Unless Zoe’s double-bluffing with this latest bombshell, that only leaves Zoe.
