Seeking solace, he encounters Lesley Meredith, who just got sacked for admitting to customers that the hiked prices were to pay for Viv Windsor’s wedding. Sharing their woes over a few drinks, the pair end up carried away in the moment.
The next morning, Lesley proudly informs her son Simon that she and Rodney are now an item. Simon confronts Rodney, who sheepishly admits the previous night was a drunken mistake and orders him to set Lesley straight. Rodney attempts to end things, but Lesley surprisingly agrees it was a mistake.
Sadie’s private detective
In her pursuit of truth, Sadie informs Matthew King about her suspicions regarding Kelly. Despite Matthew’s advice, Sadie hires Colin Matthews, a private detective, to investigate Kelly’s past. This decision is bound to stir more trouble in the village.

Kelly’s scandalous revelation
Sadie King digs up dirt on Kelly. Her efforts pay off when a Mrs. Connors arrives at The Woolpack and exposes that Kelly never had a modeling contract but posed topless instead.
