Emmerdale: Anthony murder suspect ‘ruled out’ after fans watch horrifying new trailer
Who pulls the trigger?
Emmerdale has released a brand new trailer for next week’s episodes, and spoilers show things are about to get murderous for Anthony Fox.
Last night’s episode (January 16) saw Caleb finally realise the truth about who Steph’s father is. And things are not looking good for Anthony.
It seems a lot of people are out to get revenge on what the disgusting man did to Ruby when she was younger. And someone will succeed.
Emmerdale released a brand new trailer and it puts some of our favourite characters in centre stage. But fans think they can rule one character out.

Emmerdale release new trailer of Anthony Fox’s murder
Scenes in the spoiler clip shows Chas warn Nicola that Anthony should not be allowed to be alone with Angelica. Then not long after that Laurel and Nicola are standing over his bloody body.
But that’s not all. Cain is seen trying to give Ruby some advice. She’s heard pleading: “I just want to keep a lid on this.” To which the Dingle responds: “Then that’s what we will do.”
All next week on Emmerdale.

Other clips saw Aaron spot Anthony grab Ruby’s arm. But Caleb appears and orders his disgusting father-in-law into his car. Then we see him with a gun behind his back.
At the end of the Emmerdale spoiler trailer, Caleb and Cain are spotted sitting down looking quite guilty holding a gun. Then the camera pans to Anthony’s lifeless body.
But it was this final clip that made fans think Caleb and Cain aren’t actually guilty.

Fans convinced Caleb isn’t the murderer
One wrote on social media: “Well, Caleb’s holding the gun so I don’t think it’s him that kills Ruby’s dad. I bet he fires it to scare him. I think it will be Steph who deals the fatal blow.”
Another agreed: “Caleb holding the gun has to be a red herring. Maybe Cain and him cover it up for someone.”
The trailer has been praised by fans, as it seems next week will be a huge week for the village.
One wrote: “Should be renamed Horrordale. And I’m so here for it.”
A second added: “This looks horrifyingly good! I can’t wait to watch!”
While the trailer shows a lot, we still just have to wait and see who actually is responsible for Anthony’s murder.
However, one thing is for sure, next week in Emmerdale is unmissable.
There is a shocking Emmerdale death next week as someone in the village murders Ruby’s vile dad, Anthony.
Next week news about Anthony’s past spreads to some other villagers, and leaves many of them afraid, and wanting revenge.
The week begins with a flash-forward of a bloody tooth lying in the depot. But when a gunshot rings out who was the one to pull the trigger?
Here we take a look at all of the suspects in Anthony’s murder.
1. Are Laurel and Nicola responsible for the Emmerdale death?
Nicola and Laurel both hire Anthony to give their kids some private tutoring lessons. But when Chas hears this, she quickly tells Nicola to get home.
Rushing into her house, Nicola tries to kick Anthony out, informing him she knows he is a danger to children. This sends him reeling and things get physically threatening.
But luckily for Nicola, Laurel shows up and hits Anthony over the head with a candlestick.
While a gunshot is heard later, could the pair have teamed up to make sure he wouldn’t get near their children?
2. Chas Dingle
Ruby confided in Chas about the abuse, but never told her who it was. But as time goes on, it doesn’t take much for the Dingle to realise that Anthony was the one behind it.
She is quick to spread the news to Nicola and Cain. And the situation is sure to bring back memories of her son Aaron’s abuse at the hands of her ex Gordon.
So could Chas lash out at Anthony for putting his daughter through all of that torment?
3. Is Cain responsible for the Emmerdale death?
Cain gets concerned over Chas’ behaviour next week and tries to pressure her into confiding in him.
At the time, he’s just worried that his cheating scandal has gotten out. But once he hears the truth, he is shocked to his core.
Cain is no stranger to violence, and he has had his reservations about Anthony for a while. Could he think by killing his brother’s wife’s abuser that it would erase the guilt of cheating?
4. Aaron Dingle
Aaron is set to witness an unguarded conversation between Ruby and Anthony next week. And it is set to leave him feeling very uneasy.
With the situation between them, Aaron is inevitably reminded of his own history with his dad, Gordon, who sexually abused him.
And we all know Aaron also has a history of violence. Could he take his anger out on Anthony?
5. Could Caleb Miligan be the Emmerdale death culprit?
Caleb’s world is about to be flipped upside down as he discovers the disgusting truth about his father-in-law.
With him fully in the know, it would not be a surprise if Caleb wanted to kill Anthony.
As someone who is very protective of his family, is Caleb about to commit a murder for the woman he loves?
6. Does Ruby kill her dad?
Ruby has the most reasons to want Anthony dead. So could she be set to end her years of torment by killing her abuser?
Since Anthony turned up in the village, Ruby has been spiralling. And now that the truth is about to get out, she may want him gone more than ever.
Especially because he is in the know about her and Cain’s one night stand. So will she take the ultimate revenge?
